"We are gathered here today for the trial of Eclipsa Butterfly. If she is found innocent, she will be set free. If she is found guilty, she will be crystallized for eternity." - Moon

Spoke Moon. They were in a large court room. The Magical High Commission and Moon were the judges, prosecutors, and jury. Eclipsa was the defendant, and Aster was just there to watch.

"Queen Moon, what is the evidence against the accused?" - Omni

He asked. He was attending the trial via a crystal ball.

"Bring in the evidence." - Moon

A small deer-like man brought in a cart full of paper, scrolls, books, a box, and even a tombstone.

"It's less than it looks. It's mostly second hand accounts, oral histories, folk stories, etc. None officially verified." - Moon

'Obviously.' - A

"No way around it, guys. Everybody, grab a stack." - Hekapoo

She said as everyone took a chunk of the evidence to read through. Aster groaned a little, because he'd have to sit and wait through all of it.

"Yes, well, I don't mean to fuss, but exactly how long is this trial meant to last?" - Eclipsa

"As long as it takes..." - Moon

She sighed, but Eclipsa spoke again.

"Not necessary. I request Trial by Box." - Eclipsa

The Magical High Commission seemed fine with it. Hekapoo and Rhombulus both threw aside the mountains of evidence they wouldn't need to read anymore.

"Eclipsa, are you sure about this? The box is a ruthless seeker of truth. If found guilty, crystallization may be the least of your worries." - Moon

Eclipsa nodded.

"I'm tired of sitting around waiting for all of you to decide my fate. I'll give you the truth, all of it. The good and the bad. Regardless of the outcome." - Eclipsa

She swore. The box was brought in shortly after on a fancy little cart. Sean, the deer man, pulled apart the little curtains to reveal...

"Truth of Punishment? Seriously?" - A

"What? No, that's the Box of Truth." - Moon

"That's Truth or Punishment. We played it at my sleepover. Nearly killed us all." - A

"You...played it? Ugh, I don't want to know." - Moon

She shook her head. Sean activated the box and set it to 'Trial' before explaining the rules.

"The rules are simple. Each member of the Magical High Commission shall ask one question each. The accused must answer." - Moon

She said as the box began to float and sparkle.

"To all those who seek knowledge, listen well to this degree! Surrender to the eye of Justice, and swear an oath of truth, to me." - Box

'Definitely a different box...I wonder if I should play it with my team.' - A

He thought to himself as everyone swore an oath to the box. Aside from Aster.

"And now, it's time for trial by box!" - Box

The box flashed a light on Eclipsa as Omni went first.

Question 1

"Eclipsa, did you write the evil chapter in the Book of Spells?" - Omni

"Exhibit A!" - B

An illusion of the Book of Spells was shown.

"Yes, I did. But for the record, I never called it the 'evil chapter'. That was your people's name for it." - Eclipsa
