day 18

It was early in the following morning. But while a certain four people slept peacefully a meeting was being held in the living room.

Tim pinched the bridge of his nose as he paced back and forth. He didn't even know where to start when it came to what happened yesterday.

Dottie could feel all the hatred that was being sent her way burning the surface of her skin. She rubbed anxiously at the bruises she'd received yesterday thanks to her actions, she had concealed them under her clothing but they still irked her. Everyone was spaced about as far as they could possibly be from each other with the exception of Tim and Hana.

"Can I just say something?" Dottie decided to break the intensity that was suffocating her. "I wouldn't have done that if Eli had stuck to the plan."

"Oh, fuck off!" He yelled back, going from zero to a hundred in a matter of seconds. "I barely changed things, I thought it would be more realistic if I broke up with you for a reasonable motive instead of making me look like some cartoon villain who is only there to give her someone to root against."

"You? Being reasonable? I thought you wanted it to be realistic." Tim scoffed, stopping his pacing.

"Shut up." Eli bleated.

"I don't know what you're all so huffy about, the break up's over and she doesn't hate us." Dottie twirled a piece of her dark hair between her fingers.

"You tried to kiss her." Owen spat. "You two are messing with her head." He pointed to both Eli and Dottie.

Hana raised her hand carefully as shouting continued around her, all opinions opposed each other and accusations of betrayal were thrown back and forth.

"Excuse me." She said quietly, not even making a dent in the level of noise.

Hana rolled her eyes and stood up, they were all so wrapped up in their petty disagreements that they didn't even notice. She sauntered over to the mantle piece and carefully pushed the bust in the centre into the floor.

A loud crashing sound erupted through the air and halted the conversation at once.

"Hana, what the fuck?" Eli gestured to the mess on the floor.

"I'll clean it up. I needed to get your attention." She said plainly and went to sit back down.

Tim sighed with slight annoyance at her actions but he'd exhausted all his anger at this point. "What do you want to say?"

"Yesterday is over. It doesn't matter who messed up and who didn't, let's move on." Her croaky voice didn't manage to ease any of the hostility in the air but it did get them to shut up.

"Couldn't have said it better myself." Owen said smugly despite not arguing for that corner in the slightest.

"Fine then. For today I don't think we should listen to Tim becuase he doesn't have our best interests in mind." Eli challenged.

Tim had expected push back from Eli but that didn't mean it didn't irritate him all the same. "Why don't you understand that throwing you under the bus isn't going to benefit me right now?"
