day 57

It must have been two hours since Max was carted off to his own room and two hours since (Y/n)'s last human interaction. She was still sat on her bedroom floor with her knees to her chest.

She rubbed at her eyes with her wrist to try and help the stinging sensation that came with her salty tears.

Time went slower while sat there all alone... But she wasn't alone. The screen was right there. (Y/n) wondered if the Gamemaster was watching her in that very moment.

"Hey." She said quietly. "Are you listening to me?" (Y/n) directed her vision at the screen but there was no change from the time that was being displayed. "Was this you? Did you do this?" There was still no response and (Y/n) sighed deeply. Her limbs went slack and she lay down on the floor.

"The least you could do is say something... Literally anything will do." She hissed. "I'm not asking for much here."

Nothing.

(Y/n) shook her head and let her eyes fall shut. Maybe if she fell asleep she'd wake up again and this would all be a dream, maybe this was her brain going crazy and she was really just drowning.

"Just one sentence." (Y/n) muttered. "Please."

No response.

"One word."

Again, no chime of a bell met her ears.

"A fucking letter will do..."

(Y/n) lifted her head slightly off the ground and let it fall back down with a thud. This shit wasn't taking long to get to her and right now she just wanted to be somewhere else.

Her eyelids stayed sealed shut and the silence in the air slowly but surely lulled her to sleep.

(Y/n) frowned when she woke up, she wanted to be unconscious again, it was the only way she didn't have to confront this.

But her wishes to be back to sleep didn't last long when she quickly realised that she was no longer on the ground. A soft mattress graced her sore back and a warm duvet had been placed over her. Things got even weirder when she felt something warm sweep over her cheek. 'Is that...? Yep, that's definitely a hand.'

(Y/n)'s eyes shot open and she jolted away from the culprit after seeing who it was. Purple eyes stared into her (e/c) ones. "You shouldn't fall asleep on the floor, (Y/n)." Dottie reached out again to stroke some of (Y/n)'s misplaced hair. "You'll hurt your back."

(Y/n) slapped Dottie's hand away angrily causing a sad look to cast over Dottie's freckled face but (Y/n) couldn't care less.

"What are you doing??" (Y/n) asked in regard to why Dottie would need to sit on her bed while she was sleeping. "You could've just woken me up instead of... This!"

"You looked so peaceful." Dottie cooed with a wide smile but this faded away when she saw how displeased (Y/n) was. "I-I'm sorry... I know this is a lot for you."

"No shit, Sherlock."

Dottie scrunched up her nose. "I don't mind letting comments like that go at first but I'd be careful getting so sharp with the others."
