day 78

(Y/n) was more than nervous that day.

Yesterday had been stressful for her as she told Tim just what had been going through her mind ever since Bella died... Well, she'd had similar thoughts before but now she'd really set it in stone.

By telling Tim she'd effectively made up her mind and whether that was for the best or worst would likely be revealed today.

Everyone but her was having their first meeting since breaking the group up and were unpacking the box. She had asked why she couldn't be there but she was assured that it was nothing she needed to concern herself over.

(Y/n) understood that they didn't want her worrying over all that stuff but not knowing also made her worried.

Worry, worry, worry that was all that consumed her life these days. Making this decision was supposed to take away that worry not add onto it.

She'd basically handed over her free will they made her decisions for her now, so why was she still so stressed?

The Gamemaster. That was why.

No matter how many times all five of them insisted that they'd protect her the one loose cannon in the equation was the Gamemaster. There were some things that they just wouldn't be able to defend her against and he was one of them. Like a natural disaster there was little that could be done to stop him, all she could do was remain prepared.

All she had done so far was get herself showered and dressed and yet she already felt ready for bed. In theory she could go down to the meeting but just because of her decision didn't mean she still wasn't scared of them.

Confused, upset, scared, worried. All of these emotions were meant to be gone- she was promised happiness by not only her dream but also the Gamemaster and then.on multiple occasions.

Maybe she chose wrong, maybe she needed to re-evaluate.

But whenever she even thought about rejecting them again a physical pain struck her heart, she just couldn't do it.

Whatever part of her wanted them was stronger than the part that didn't.

'I've made up my mind and now I just have to stick with it.'

No one shared a word as the latest package was unboxed, there was another smaller box in there that was likely to be another 'gift' from the Gamemaster.

There was no name on it and no message popped onto the screen so Tim put it aside.

Once everything that had been delivered to them was where it needed to be Tim commenced the meeting.

"Alright..." He looked around at the room and... They all hated him and had no trouble showing it in their faces. Tim had never felt so vulnerable and like they were going to pounce on him and rip him to shreds in seconds. "I know things are... Different to how they have been but that just means we need to adapt. Humans as creatures are excellent at adapting to new-"

"Fucking hell, is this a biology lesson or what?" Eli called out.

Tim glared at the ravenette and then continued. "I was almost done, god forbid I try to equate something you're familiar with to our current situation."
