Remus: study date

Today was the day, the day you finally got the courage to ask Remus Lupin out on a date. You see, the two of you had been flirting for quite some time but neither of you were sure whether or not to ask the other out.

You walked down the corridor, the confidence swimming around you as you pumped yourself up to do it, what's the worse that could happen? I get rejected. You thought as a lump for,ed in your throat.

"Pass it here!" You heard the familiar voice of Peter Pettigrew from outside in the courtyard. When you looked out of the small window you saw Remus laughing as James and Sirius teased Peter.

You made your way outside and walked over to Remus who instantly smiled as he saw you. "Y/N," he said cheerfully. "Hi Remus," you said trying to remain confident. "I was just wondering-" your mouth went dry causing you to stutter, "I'd I- we-" Remus waited for you to finish but at this rate the school year would be over before you were finished.

"Get a hold of yourself!" Your mind screamed. "Would you like to go on a date with me?" You said staring him down. Remus smiled as he nodded eagerly. "Yeah, I was going to ask you actually," you smiled. "Really?" He nodded.

"I'm free tomorrow?" You suggested. "Sounds good-" Remus paused for a second before sighing. "I- I can't tomorrow." He said sadly. "Why not?" You asked a little let down.
"I'm busy." Was all he managed to say, he couldn't tell you the truth which was that tomorrow he would be turning into a werewolf because of the full moon.

"Busy doing what?" You asked, you couldn't help but wonder if he was lying to get out of going on a date with you. "I uh-" Remus looked towards his friends who were now all listening to your conversation.

"We have study group!" James said making the other boys nod. "That's right!" Sirius chirped in. "For uh- muggle studies, you're not in that class so there's no point in you coming since you were raised by juggles after all!" He said making you frown.

"Well all the more reason for me to come, I could help you guys study? Don't you think so too Remus?" You said looking at him with the best puppy dog eyes you could muster. "Uh no that won't work!" Peter said shaking his head. "Why not?" You said crossing your arms over your chest.

"Because- you see- we study in a special way, very different from how you're used to doing it." James said sounding rather pleased of his little lie. "Oh, and how's that?" You asked sounding interested.

"Naked!" Sirius yelled. Remus just face palmed and shook his head, naked, really?
"Naked?" You said with a frown. "Yes." Peter said sounding annoyed at Sirius. "Naked." James said sounding strained, this was such a horrible lie.

"That- that's the way we do it so- yeah." Sirius said before looking down at the floor, he was so embarrassed, they all were because now you thought that all four boys liked to sit in a room, naked with eachother.

"R-really?" You said, you didn't know whether to laugh or leave.
"Yeah- Remus here gets really shy around other people when we do out- naked study," James said wishing he had never gotten involved. "So it's best you just leave us be... tomorrow night..." Peter said still looking away from you. "When we do out... naked- study." Sirius said with a sigh.

At this point poor Remus was ready to throw himself into the lake.
"Okay then," you said standing up. "I uh- I'll see you around." You said before walking away. Remus sighed before he stood to his feet and followed behind you to get some privacy.

"Y/N-" he said trying to salvage whatever chance he had left at taking you out on a date. When you turned around to look at Remus you were crying with laughter. "You're laughing?" Remus said confused. "I- I'm so sorry Remus!" You laughed, "I'm not laughing at you, it's just- too funny!" You laughed hysterically which resulted in Remus laughing with you.

"If you had plans with the boys, you should of just said so! There's no need to make up some excuse about studying naked!" You giggled. Remus nodded, "right, sorry." He said laughing with you.

"But I really so want to go on a date with you." He said turning the moment serious.
"Well then, ask me out for some time this week? If you're not going to be having any naked study's." you winked at him. "Nah, I think my calendar is free!" He chuckled.

"I'll see you around," you said before walking away from him. Remus couldn't help but smile, you really were the perfect girl for him.

"Listen mate, we are so sorry." James said when Remus returned.
"We'll make up some other excuse for you, we just were on the spot and-" Remus cut Sirius off. "No, just leave it. I like it." He said with a smile as he remembered how much it made you laugh.

"You liked it?" Peter said and that's when all three boys moved away from moony.
"Listen moony, I love you but- I'm not getting my junk out to help you study!" James said shaking his head. "What- no! Not like that!" Remus yelled making his friends laugh.
