When we finished the rest of the homework Ba Wei seemed exhausted, and honestly I couldn't blame him. Even for me, the questions were difficult. I looked down at my watch and sighed when I saw it was almost midnight. We hadn't stayed this late in a while for good reason.

"Why were those questions so hard?"

I turned to look at Ba Wei, "probably because we got nothing done yesterday."

Ba Wei didn't say anything to that sentence and just laughed. It was refreshing to see a smile grace his face since all through out the tutoring session he was either frowning or unreadable. I stared at him for a minute before I shifted my eyes.

"Come on, let's get out of here," he suddenly said. "I still have something to show you."

To be completely honest I had forgot about him saying he wanted to take me somewhere. It wasn't that I tried to but it slipped my mind. I was more focused on getting this done so I can go home and get in bed.

I raised an eyebrow, "it's almost one in the morning."

"Time isn't an issue for me."

I watched as he stood up and started to pack his things. I wanted to protest but I chose not to. Looking at his exterior I could see that whatever he wanted to show me he was excited about. How he was acting was very cute. It was amusing to actually be able to read him.

"Okay. Okay."

I started to pack up my things and when I was done. We left the room and began walking in the direction of a different exit. I couldn't help but wonder just what exactly he was going to show me.

"Where are you taking me?"

He looked over at me, "it's a surprise."

"That's not being fair?"

Ba Wei chuckled, "how is that not being fair?"

In truth I couldn't answer that. He was just being unfair. He could tell me but he was choosing not to. I pushed my bangs out of my face and didn't say anything. I kept my eyes straight foreword but I could feel Ba Weis eyes on me.

"Hey," he nudged me, "don't pout."

"I'm not pouting."

"Yes you are."

I sighed and turned towards him and our eyes met. A smile slowly made its way onto his lips. He was such a dick, and I knew he knew it.

"I hate you, you that right?"

"Yeah yeah."

——

When we left the school I had expected for Kang Wu to be sitting outside waiting but he wasn't. Instead Ba Wei just started walking in the direction of my house. I raised an eyebrow at this but didn't say anything. This proved to be a good decision after we passed my apartment complex.

As we pushed on I wanted to ask where again but I knew he wouldn't tell me. It was a surprise in his mind. I scrolled through my mind to try to figure out where he could be taking me and then it dawned on me. His apartment. It was in Thai area and it would make a lot of sense if that was where he was taking me.

I was just about to ask if that was where he was taking me when that old complex came into view. I stopped walking and almost like he sensed it, Ba Wei stopped also.

"What is-"

"Your surprise is at this apartment?"

A small chuckle left him, "yeah, but it's in it."

I raised an eyebrow at that. I thought I would've been upset just a bit about him bringing me here to this apartment at one on the morning, but I wasn't. I was more curious than ever now.

"In it?"

"Yeah, so come on."

With that he turned and started walking my again. I followed behind him at a good distance and as we approached the building I couldn't help but raise an eyebrow when I saw the lights to the apartment on. I was going to ask why but I just assumed that he had left them on earlier.

As we started to climb the stairs I noticed that Ba Wei kept glancing back at me. His eyes would scan me almost. I raised an eyebrow and reach out and grabbed his hand. His head snapped back to me.

"What are you-"

"Giving you a reason to look back at me," I said as a smile spread across my face.

I expected him to pull his hand away but he didn't. Even when we made it to the floor of his apartment he didn't let go. He only let go to unlock the door. He looked back at me as he did this, "don't be nervous when we walk in okay."

"Huh?"

I didn't even get the chance to fully ask why because he opened the door and a wave of smoke came out of the apartment. I scrunched my nose and glanced at Ba Wei. He didn't seem to bothered by the cloud and just walked in. I followed suit and as soon as I did a loud voice boomed through the room.

"Xiao Wei! You actually came."

This voice was deep but not as deep as Ba Weis and judging by the way he called Ba Wei he was definitely older. I raised an eyebrow and peaked from behind Ba Wei to see a guy with a shaved head, a lip piercing, and a lot of tattoos. He had on a wife beater and gray basket ball shorts and every piece of skin that was showing was covered in ink. Who the hell was this guy.

"Yeah I came."

I watched as the guy walked over to Ba Wei with open arms, "come on. Give Li Ge a hug."

I thought Ba Wei would reject that but he didn't. Instead I stood there in awe as the Ba Wei hugged the guy. Almost immediately as this guys head reached the Ba Weis shoulder his eyes went straight to mine. The smile that was once on his face fell. He scanned my face and slowly pulled away.

"Hey Ji Nan who's this guy with you."

Ba Wei looked back at me and a smile spread across his face, "he's the guy I've been talking about." The guy pulled back and a smile returned to his face.

"Oh so you're the princess he's been speaking about."
