When I heard that name I couldn't help but feel like that it sounded familiar. I couldn't place my finger on why it did. I listened as Kang Wu and Ba Wei's father shared information about what was going on. Listening I realized that they didn't know much. I was zoning out until Ba Wei said something that caught my attention.

"So how are we going to make that guy talk?"

He asked that coldly but when I glanced at him his eyes were soft. He picked up the tray and placed it closer to me. He glanced down at the food and back at me. It didn't take anything else for me to understand that he was telling me to eat. So I did just that.

"I don't know. We could definitely break out the good stuff for the guy, but that girl we can't," Kang Wu said.

"And why not? I think she needs a lesson?"

When Ba Wei said that his voice was flat and cold. I didn't say anything and continued to munch on the apples that I had picked up.

"The girl doesn't seem like she knows much. Plus seeing how's she's been crying if we hurt her I feel that I will have to pay off a lot of people to avoid legal consequences," Ba Weis father explained.

"That's true. I say we cut the girl loose. It's not like she had much of a choice in the matters. He was blackmailing her."

Ba Wei didn't say anything and Kang Wu continued talking. He explained how it would be much easier to just cut her loose. I agreed in a sense. It wasn't sympathy, just a logical move. I knew she would probably make a scene. Especially since she seemed to want to get back at me. She would definitely go to the police if they hurt her.

"Can you guys get out," Ba Wei said suddenly.

I had thought that the two men in the room would put up a fight but they just kept talking and got up. They waved a bye to me and left. I was confused on what just happened. If anyone would've put up a fight about staying it would've been Kang Wu.

"I'm so confused right now," I said.

Ba Wei chuckled, "why?" He climbed into the bed and leaned again the bed board beside me.

"They left without a fuss."

"Yeah. I'm glad they did. I don't think I have the energy to forcefully remove Kang Wu."

I cocked a eyebrow, "not gonna forcefully remove your father?"

"Hell no. I pick my battles wisely. Plus my father doesn't put up a fight when I tell him to fuck off."

I didn't say anything and just nodded. The room fell into silence and I could feel his eyes on me as I ate. It felt like he was looking at every detail on me. I glanced at him and our eyes met.

"Do you want a bite," I said holding up my sandwich.

He shook his head, but I didn't really give him at option. I put the sandwich up to his mouth and to my surprise he took a bite. I smiled and took a bite right after. I glanced him over and couldn't help but notice that his hands were slightly shaking.
