"Do you want to watch a movie," Ba Wei asked as he flipped through the channels?

I pushed my hair behind my ears, "sure. What kind?"

"It doesn't matter to me. It's up to you." His voice was calm sounding, and it was nice on my ears.

"How about a horror movie?" He looked over at me and raised an eyebrow. "What?"

"You sure?"

""Yeah, I'm sure. Why do you ask?"

"No reason."

"Don't lie. Tell me?"

He laughed, "I'm not lying. There's really not a reason."

I didn't say anything in return, and just turned towards the TV. I watched as he went to the horror genre and started looking through them. I glanced over all the cover photos to the movies, and none of them caught my eye. It felt like we had been scrolling for years when he finally stopped on a movie.

"This one seems interesting."

"Yeah. Let's watch this one." Although I said that, I was not interested in watching that movie at all. Just by the cover I could tell that it was gonna be a textbook haunting movie. I should've just told him that I had no interest but it seemed that he really wanted to watch it so why would I ruin it for him. I'll just let him get his way.

Ba Wei started the movie, and got up from the couch and cut off all the lights. He flopped back down on the couch and immediately his eyes were glued to the screen. I glanced over at him and couldn't help but marvel at how truly handsome he was. Stop! What are you thinking?!

I cleared my throat and moved to get more comfortable. By doing that I unintentionally got closer to Ba Wei. He didn't say anything, and didn't even look my way which was a relief. I turned my attention to the film and relaxed.

I wish I could say that I payed attention to the movie, but I didn't. I stared at the screen thinking about everything but that. I couldn't help but question where my father was. I know that I act like I don't care but I do. He may be a dick, but he still is family. If I'm being completely honest, I'm worried. He usually would text me or call me to apologize; but he hasn't. I hope you're okay old man.

I was deep in thought when Ba Wei nudged me.  I looked over at him to see that he wasn't looking at me. I raised an eyebrow and nudged him back. He looked over at me and smirked.

"What was that nudge for?" He didn't say anything, and just turned back towards the TV. "Hey did you hear me?"

"I heard you."

"Are you not going to answ-"

"I'm not. Just like you're not watching the movie." I couldn't help but be surprised. How did he notice, and how did he know?

"Um..."

Ba Wei switched off the Tv, "you know if you didn't want to watch a movie you could've just said it."

"I wanted to watch it."

He looked over at me, "you know you're a bad liar." His voice was cold as he said that, and I couldn't anything but stay silent. "Why?"

"Why what?"

'Why lie and say that you want to watch a movie?"

"I wanted to watch a movie," I said, "just not that one." Even though my eyes were on the ground, I could feel his eyes on me. I didn't want to look up into them. I didn't want to know what emotion they held. Was he mad? He had to be mad.

He sighed, "you could've just said that."

"But you wanted to watch it." The room immediately fell into silence after I said that, and my face immediately turned bright red.

"What do you mean by that." Are you really gonna make me spell it out for you?

I sighed, "I could tell you wanted to watch it, so I didn't say anything."

Ba Wei immediately burst into laughter and I was left sitting there confused. I finally raised my eyes from the floor and my heart skipped a beat when I saw Ba Wei's face. Why are you so handsome?

"Look, be more honest next time," he said as he stopped laughing.

I raised an eyebrow at him. I thought he was angry but by the way he's acting: it doesn't seem that way anymore.

"Are you not mad," I asked confused?

"Why would I be mad?"

"I don't know. You just seemed mad."

He was silent for a few minutes before he reached out and pinched my nose.

"Stop acting so cute."

"I'm not," I argued.

He raised an eyebrow, "you're not? From my point of view you're pouting while avoiding my eye contact and asking if I'm mad at you." A smile spread across that smug face of his. "How is that not cute?"

"It's not."

"To me it is," he said laughing.

"Stop saying dumb shit like that."

"Who said it's dumb shit. I'm just being honest." Why do you always say unnecessary shit like that?

"Me."

"You really don't take compliments well." I didn't say anything and just stared at him. The smile that was on his face fell. "You know pouting is not gonna make me stop calling you cute."

I crossed my arms, "for one I'm not pouting, and two-"

"You are pouting," he said smirking.

I rolled my eyes at him and didn't say anything in return. This was the second time he had cut me off and at this point I was annoyed.

"Hey don't be mad." Right after he said this he reached out both of his claws and clamped down on my cheeks. He started to pinch them and I immediately started to try to get free.

"Stop," I said muffled.

"Smile and I will." He continued to pull my cheeks and even though I was annoyed I felt my face pulling into a smile. "There you go," he said letting go.

I rubbed my cheeks, "you're such a dick."

"Aww thank you. I hear I am a big one." I couldn't help but laugh at that statement. At least he was self aware.

"You're not that big of a dick," I said lowly.

"But I got a big dick," he said laughing. I Immediacy joined him and even though he laughed. I actually wanted to know just how big it was.
