pokemon: War For Love

ch40 battles and wholesomeness

David POV

Ash and his kalos friends had returned moments after we finished making breakfast. We all had a wholesome welcome back and started eating. Once finished the first thing Ash wanted to do was have a battle with me.

And thus is where this chapter begins.

Standing in the luminose city gym in specific it's battlefield was me and kirlia. On the other side was ash and pikachu. The two of us were very excited Considering we spent the great majority of our time training.

Ash and his kalos companions had actually visited professor sycamores pokemon camp and spent a week there having fun, he even caught a hawlucha and evolved his fletchling.

Standing on the benches on the side were all of ash's friends and rivals. From Gary to trip and Misty to serena everyone was there for this epic battle, and to be honest so was I.

Clemont: alright I shall be the referee, this battle will be a 1 on 1 match between ash and his pikachu, and David with his lirlia. Either side will win when either pokemon are unable continue.... BATTLE BEGIN!!!

When clemont began the battle me and kirlia started up our telepathic link between us while ash prepared himself.

Ok kirlia you ready?

The petite pokemon hums while nodding her head. She raises her fists into a fighting stance and awaits for my orders.

3rd pov

In a true ash like fashion, ash begins the bout with pikachu throwing a quick attack.

Ash: start it off with quick attack!!!

The electric mouse formed an outline of white before it bursts out into a sprint with a quick after image behind it. Kirlia lowered herself as David used his telepathic connection to communicate with her.

David: kirlia dodge it and use magical leaf and leaf blade.

Kirlia nods her head and sidesteps the pikachu and spins around before mimicking the movement of drawing a uchigatana from its sheath.

Pikachu sprinted around kirlia watching her movement as a blade made from leaves manifested. Ash's eyes widen at the moment and was quickly in awe.

Kirlia brought her hands together and fell into a stance with her blade stationed infront of her.

Ash; go for it get in close and rapid fire quick attack.

The pikachu obliges and blitzed kirlia by leaping at her with great speed. Kirlia sidestepped and swung at pikachu.

Ash: dodge it and keep up the attacks!!

The pikachu bounced off kirlia's arm and backflips away before resuming the blitz and tried again. Pikachu charged forward and leaped at kirlia again, and again kirlia dodged and swung her blade.

Pikachu dodged it but pivoted on his feet and reoriented himself and struck kirlia to her chest forcing her backwards a few meters. But before the strike the fairy type deflected the attack.

David smiles and looked to ash with a compliment in mind.

David: you've gotten stronger ash, pikachu as well.

Ash reciprocated the compliment.

Ash: heh, and you two are getting creative with you're training.

David chuckles.

David: heh, you haven't seen anything yet... kirlia, build upon you're blade with dazzling gleam.

Kirlia nodded her head as the blade to her sword began to glow a bright purple light with pink accents. She swung her blade horizontally creating a large blade of fairy energy towards pikachu. (Think like the mortal blade from sekiro)
