Ch 55 training and friendly banter.

3rd POV

A few days go by David and the others, David's wounds healing slowly yet surely thus giving him some more freedom to do things. Such as training.

David, iris and their pokemon companions stood on the lower levels of erebor. A battlefield lied around them as Axew and turtwig stood before one another, Kirlia, braixen and lucario were nearby performing basic iaido and kenjutsu drills.

Iris: let's go scratch!!

Small white nails protrude from the dragon type before axew began to run for Turtwig. Axew lunges forward swinging its hands forward.

David: Dodge and use tackle!!

The grass type bleated and leaped to the side before jumping headfirst into axew's shoulder pushing him back several feet.

David: good job, dont let up and use vine whip!!

In response turtwigs shell glowed dimly before a pair if vines erupted from its shell and quickly whipped forward towards the dragon type.

Iris called for it to dodge to the side to which axew did and retaliated with a weakened dragon rage. The beam of draconic energy flew forward striking the turtwig head on.

There was a small detonation which launched the Turtwig back 2 meters. Iris and David sigh lightly before walking over, David took a knee beside the turtwig and placed a hand to his head.

David: good job turtwig you did great.

He smiles warmly before petting turtwigs cheek. Iris takes a knee as well, pulling axew into her arms and walked over to David.

Iris: looks like training is going well, turtwig has his timing almost done right. Kirlia and the others are also doing well.

David and iris look over at kirlia and braixen the two still going through their drills.

David: yup, it's been almost awhile you wanna train you're excadrill and archeops?

Iris nodded, she pulled out two pokeballs and let them out. David hummed and called over kirlia, braixen and lucario.

Above the battlefield stood a feminine figure, one with blonde hair and gentle eyes. The champion of sinnoh cynthia, she leaned on the railing of the overhead bridge she stood on humming a tune as she watched David and iris below.

The gentle sound of footsteps caught her attention making the champion tilt her head to the side.

Alder: almost makes David look like the every day trainer. Doesn't it.

The unovian champion walked over and leaned against the railing striking up a conversation. Cynthia in response sighs before shutting down alder.

Cynthia: if this is another attempt at asking me out I'm gonna say no again.

Alder flinches into a deadpanned expression before slugging over his shoulders droopin in a comedic way.

Alder: awwwwe~

Cynthia giggles before looking back at David and iris, the two getting ready for some more training.

Cynthia: heehee. But I agree David at this distance does look kinda normal, everything has been calm recently. It's a nice change of pace.

Alder smiles with an agreeing nod. The two look down towards David and iris, the two kids sharing a moment of glee before moving to their respective sides of the field.
