Now let's begin.

12 hours later.

On board the Iowa all was doing well for everyone. The injured were treated and taken cared of while the pokemon received a much needed rest.

In the medical bays David remained fast asleep, with a sleepy kirlia and braixen watching him gently. They sat on his bed beside him rubbing his hair affection and providing a little bit of love with a surprise guest.

Iris was with them doing the same, a light tint of pink on her cheeks we and the subtle smile present. The three of them stayed by David's side all throughout the night and into the late morning. Despite being asked to have breakfast they chose to remain with David.

It was silent for them, but the silence was much appreciated by everyone.
All they heard was the quiet echo of footsteps outside and the chatter that came with it.

In the mess hall on the upper levels in correlation was anything but silent. Everyone was happy, cheering and overjoyed. Everyone was being happy, sitting in the mess hall were the champions enjoying breakfast along with jenna and lily, seung kim, deuk cha and anita. They were sharing stories, exchanging photos of their youth and like the others having a good time.

Iris: oh David.... if only you could wake up soon.

Back in the medical bays the silence eventually got to them and iris was the first to break the silence. The comment brought kirlia and braixen to speak up.

Kirlia: yeah, but he does need the rest. He's earned it. He put his own life on the line to save mine.

Kirlia lightly lifted the blanket revealing his bandaged torso. Blood seeped through but it was enough for concern at the moment. Kirlia's expression saddened as she lied down next to David and gently wrapped her arms around his arm.

Iris: o-ok...

Iris looks down to David's wound, she ran her hands across his chest and stopped inches from the wound. She too became sad.

Iris: David needs a much needed break from everything. How about when we get back to kalos we go on a journey between the regions? A vacation of sorts, explore ancient ruins, beautiful valleys and flower gardens.
