"whats happening?" kaminari asks, furrowing his brows. aizawa entered the class a few minutes ago, slumped on his chair, but he still hasnt said a word.

"shush" mina whispered, leaning closer to him, "its today" she adds, leaning back in her chair and twiddling her thumbs, her face down.

"whats today?" the whole class turns to glare daggers at him, even aizawa raises his face from his desk for a second before he sighs and drops it back down.

"are you stupid? she jumped off the roof today a year ago" bakugo whispers shouts at the blond, rolling his eyes.

kaminari opens his mouth and closes his eyes, remembering it. he was confused how he forgot himself, you were a pretty good friend of his last year.

"why is he here?" he asks, leaning to mina. "he has to be here, im pretty sure hes going to see her after school" she answers, looking back down to her hands on the table.

he looks around the room. everyone is silent, every single one. noone dares to speak, or even lift their faces. all the teachers knew that today was a hard day, and everyone knew how bad it was for aizawa.

the bell rings. a whole lesson has passed, and noone said even a word. it was silent for the 30 seconds the bell rang. they are yet to move.

aizawa stands up, his chair falls behind him and he doesnt bother picking it up. "im sorry, but there are no classes today. dismissed" he chokes out and drags his feet out of the classroom. only when he leaves the students are able to speak.

"wow" kirishima sighs, "that was rough" he adds, leaning his head on his hands.

"i dont like seeing him like that" momo says, hugging herself with her hands, "it reminds me of her" she adds in a whisper.

"should we do something?" jiro asks. "i think we should, but what could we do?" eijiro asks.

"it has to be something respectful, and not too big. we dont want to make it bad like last time" aida says.

they all remember how after a week of grief aizawa came back to class to find the desk you sat it decorated with flowers and a picture of you. he refused to have it there, and threw that desk away.

"i have an idea" todoroki says.

**

hizashi and aizawa had just arrived at the cemetery, and walked through the lanes until they got to your grave. it was a black stone, on it engraved the words with golden writing,

"here lies {Y/N} aizawa,
daughter, friend, and hero.
a whole world entire"

theres a picture of you under the writing, protected by glass. its a picture of you at the sports festival, waiving your medal in the air with a big smile. he remembers how even that night he wasnt home to celebrate with you, and when he did return, he woke you up to ask you to make breakfast.

theres total silence all around, the sky is grey and clowdy, only fitting. hes wearing his work clothes and holds in his hand a bouquet of crimson roses. they are pricking his palm, but he doesnt care, he fists them hard as he stares down at the grave. he holds himself not to cry yet.

"wanna say something?" hizashi finally asks his friend. aizawa takes a deep breath and looks at the flowers for a second.

he hates himself so much. every time he came he brought different flowers, since he doesnt know which one you liked most. not even what was your favourite colour.

"i miss you so badly {Y/N}. i cant explain to you how much i miss you" aizawa starts, and stops to take a deep breath again.

"i havent touched your things yet. they are all as they were. your room is waiting for you, your plants waiting for you to water them and the pots waiting for you to come and use them again. ive been watering your plants, if you were worried" he whispers, closing his eyes tightly as he imagines your picture infront of his eyes.

"y-your shoes are at the door. i havent touched them" he says again, his voice weavering.

hes so focused he still didnt notice his class standing behind him, listening silently.

"a-and your clothes... the ones you wore when you..." he stops to take a deep breath again, his throat tightens and a stubborn tear falls from his eye and down to the ground. "they are in the drawer in my room. with your note. i-i havent throwen any o-of it away" he chokes out a whimper, and his shoulders shake. hizashi puts his hand on his back, holding his shoulder.

"i miss you so badly {Y/N}, and im sorry. i know its my fault, i know. i was horrible. i hope you can forgive me" with the last word, his tears win him as they spill out of his eyes and down his face with audible whines and whimpers, his face drops and his shoulders shake.

he leans forward to place the red roses on your grave, and then stands back, covering his eyes with his hand as he starts crying.

todoroki gulps, and walks forward. he places his hand on aizawas shoulder, and the older looks up to find todoroki smiling at him gently, in his hand a bouquete of daises.

he watchs as the boy leans forward and places the flowers on your grave, then comes to stand beside his teacher, his hands infront of him, fingers clasped together.

"we miss her too" aizawa looks back, and finds every single one of his students standing behind his back.

he looks at all of them for a long few moments, eyeing all of them through his tears.

then, he turns back and looks down to your grave again, and covers his eyes again with his hand, as he keeps crying, his shoulders shaking and tears staining his cheeks and falling to the ground.

"im sorry"
