*in which nanami catchs you about to flee the country away from your problems, and does all in his powers to keep you with him*

TW-shiitty parents, depression, desperetion. nanami is your teacher, but you both know you have something going on.

nanami just landed back in japan from a business trip abroad. he cracks his back and gets up, gets his lugage, and starts leaving the plane.

he was seriously tired from this trip. it was one thing to fight curses in japan, in his home town, where he can return to the comfort of his home anytime, but running after curses abroad, in unkown cities and unknown languages, thats a whole new thing, which wasnt his favourite.

he continues to the passport checkpoint.

he was glad to be back. he prefered working as a sorcorer here, but he also liked teaching here. he liked9 the small group of students and the enviornment was so nice for him, laid back and he could almost always get off of work on time.

and in all honesty, he did miss his favourite student, {Y/N}.

shes a third year and soon she will be a certified sorcorer. he already went out on missions with you, but after you graduate, you will go together as partners, not a teacher and student. maybe he could even take you with him on such trips abroad.

he knew you quite well. he knew about your hobbies, your love for the piano, and he knew about how your family was one and a half.

your parents were... harsh. theyd always yell at you, whenever you got together, always having something to say about the way you look, the way you sit, the way you talk and your powers.

so judgemental.

and even though he made sure to tell you not to listen to them, he still kmew they got to you. the remarks, the shouts, the insults. in the end of the say, they still are... your parents.

one time you were both in his office, doing paperwork for your last mission, when your father suddenly called.

you sighed and shook your head, lifting up your phone.

"just a minute"

you answered and raised the phone to your ear. it didnt need to be on speaker for him to hear your fathers voice.

"do you know what you leaving did to us?! you dont know {Y/N}! you dont know! you are not here to help your mother and I, and how are we supposed to help ourselves like this?! we cant! you need to return! you need to send us money right now, or we will report you missing, so the police will bring you back to us by the ear! you brought it on yourself!"

after some time, the phone call ended and your head fell down with a sigh, your shoulders shaking.

"this is not ok {Y/N}" nanami says, eyes wide and concerned.

"i know" you sniffle, raising your head a bit and he can see little tears in your eyes. you grab your phone again.

"you are not going to transfer them money, are you?" he asks, watching you tapping somewhere.

"what else can i do nanami? its either that or be chained back home with them. i have to" you whimper as you transfer money to your fathers account from yours, leaving in your account only half of your monthly payment.

"you shouldnt do it. you should report them" he says, leaning forward as you rub your tears away from your eyes.

"i cant nanami. i cant. they still are my parents"
