Chapter 36 - The Yule Ball Pt. 2

I wanted to go back to Cedric, but I was enjoying the dancing and Cedric looked out of breath. So, I continued dancing with Draco. Everyone was staring at us. Everyone did hear about our dancing, even the teachers were gossiping about it. The music started and I looked around us.

"Everyone is staring at you" I whispered to Draco, since no one was dancing and everyone was gawking at us, the only sound around us was of the music.

"Believe me darling, they're staring at you" he said whispering too making me blushed.

For the rest of the dance, we didn't break eye contact, just like we didn't the other day. At few steps I heard him chuckle and it was the absolute best thing.

"Jump!" he ordered. He picked me up and spun around with me, while my hands stayed on his shoulders and my eyes looking down at him. He was smiling with his teeth, I never noticed him smiling genuinely. He showed his perfect white teeth when he smiled, with a slight hint of dimples. He ended the dance with a dip and the hall roared with applause and whistles. "That completes part one of your wish one, Malfoy" I said and I went back to Cedric.

"I hate to admit it, but you guys did look great together dancing" Cedric said as he stared at Draco, when he returned to his date, who was annoyed that we danced together.

"Are you jealous, Diggory?" I asked mocking Cedric.

"Well, duh" he said rolling his eyes and I chuckled. After the waltz, the band started to play songs for us to dance normally, Cedric, Hermione, Ginny, Victor and I danced around to the music, moving our hands and hips, twirling around and having a lot of fun. We took a break to click pictures with each other and Cedric returned to the dance, while I sat with Harry and Ron.

"Come on, you guys. Why are you sitting here? Dance with us" I said moving my shoulders a little with music. They chuckled and shook their heads.

"Spoilsport" I said slowly, "Harry, you are joining me for a slow dance though" I said standing up and walking away before he could say no.

"Time to complete wish number 2, Middleton" Draco said as I walking by the photo booth that was near the balcony, with a camera in his hand. I walked over to him and smiled, "Sure" 

"Is this your personal camera?" I asked taking it in my hand and searching for someone who would click a picture of us together.

"Only the best, captures moving pictures" he said smirking.

"Oh, Blaise! Just the guy I was looking for" I said walking over to Blaise, ignoring Draco's information.

"Hey, Olive" Blaise said as I handed him the expensive camera. Olive was his nickname for me, he had always been kind to me, so has Theodore. I called Theo by his full name, because he didn't like it if anyone called him by his full name, plus everyone called him 'Theo', I wanted something different. Both of them Slytherins and a part of Draco's gang, so it was only plausible that Blaise would click a picture of us, without having to tease Draco.

"Could you click a picture of me and Malfoy?" I asked as he raised his eyebrows at me.

"Please, just do it" I said with pleading us, so that he wouldn't ask any questions. He nodded and I went to Draco. We were standing in the balcony that was adjoined to the Great Hall and had the perfect view of the sky that night, with stars shining bright and a full moon glooming over us.

"So, what do you wanna do?" I asked him. He looked at me with confusion as he placed his hand around my waist and pulled me closer.

"Everyone is taking pictures properly; you know smiling and formal and all. Let us do something different, how about we make weird faces? Like this?" I asked pouting my lips, squinting my eyes and furrowing my eyebrows, first looking at him and then looking at the camera, while Draco looked down at me and chuckled showing his teeth. I didn't notice him not look at the camera.
