"Dadi jaan mai kal ke liye apse maafi maangna chahti hoon. Maine jaan bujh kar badtameezi nahi ki." Seher said looking at feet.

"Koi baat nahi beta. Ho jata hai." Dadi jaan replied.

"Dadi jaan mai apse ek request karun?"

"Haan beta bolo."

"Zainab api ki engagement postpone mat karein. Ab to Furqaan bhi thik hain." Seher said.

"Haan par beta...-"

"Dadi jaan meri wajah se duniya to nahi rukegi na. Aur waise bhi pehly Api ki shadi honi thi. Atleast engagement to kar hi dein. Meri wajah se delay na karein." She explained. "Mujhe bohot khushi hogi aur ap to mujhe khush dekhna chahti hain na?"

"Haan. To fir mai bat karti hoon sabse." Dadi jaan said.

An angry Zainab barged into the room and slammed the door making Seher flinch.

"Dadi jaan se meri engagement ka tumne bola hai?" She asked.

"Haan, to isme itna gussa kyu ho rahi hain?" She asked.

"Gussa kyu na houn? Yaha tum par ek musibat ka pahaad toot gaya aur tum chahti ho mai khushi khushi mangni kar lun?"

"Ya Allah, Api don't be so dramatic" Seher laughed. "Ye sab kab tak chalega no one knows, but the only thing I know is seeing you happy will make me happy."

"Tum pagal ho."

"Ab pata chala?" She smiled. "Meri liye maan jaen? Engagement karlein, itni jaldi to apko waise bhi nahi jane dungi."

"Mai jaane bhi nahi wali itni asaani se."

A knock on the door broke the sisters' moment.

"Tum dono ko ammi bula rahi hain." Furqaan poked his head inside.

"Aa rahe hain."

The three of them went down stairs. Junaid, Samiya, Sameena and the twins were gathered in the living room.

"Ji ammi bulaya apne." Zainab asked.

"Tumhara dress lena hai. Next week ki date fix hui hai mangni ki." Sameena said.

"Oh matlab shopping." The twins cheered.

"Hanji shopping. Chalo jao abhi niklo market ke liye." Sameena instructed.

"Abhi kyu?" Zainab asked.

"Api apke liye ek week bohot kam hai dress select karne ke liye. Ap abhi hi jaen." Seher laughed.

"Sahi keh rahi hai wo." Sameena said and left.

"Sahi hai fir chalo." Furqaan said grabbing the car keys.

"Oh hell no mister you're not driving anytime soon." Seher said snatching the keys from him.

"Tumhe meri driving py bharosa nahi?" He asked.

"Aisa kuch nahi hai. Driving needs concentration and right now your brain needs to rest and not overwork itself." She explained. "Junaid lekar jao inlogon ko." She threw the keys at him which he caught.

"Lekar jao? Tum nahi chal rahi?" Junaid asked.

"Nahi."

"Kyun apko nahi karni shopping?" Ayesha asked.

"Nahi yaar. I'm tired aur waise bhi Mere paas bohot kapde hain."

"Ary to meri help kon karega?" Zainab whined.

"Ye log hain na." Seher said pointing at her cousins.

"Ye dono to apni shopping me lag jaengi aur isko kya pata ladkiyo ki shopping ka." Zainab said referring to Junaid.

"Ary kar dengi help, aur ise bhi bohot idea hai apni girlfriends ke liye karta rehta hai shopping." Seher laughed.

"Yrr tum to mere raaz hi kholne lag gayin." Junaid whined making everyone laugh.

"Api aj kitne din baad aise has rahi hain." Sana blurted out making everyone go silent.

Junaid and Zainab shot her a look and she already looked guilty. Ayesha smacked her hand discreetly.

"Yahi shaam karni hai kya? Jao jakar ready ho." Seher looked at the twins. They both nodded and scurried upstairs. "Ap logo ko likh kar dena padega." She asked the three who were still in the room.

Junaid and Zainab left but Furqaan stayed. She was about to say something but he beat her to it.

"Is there anything I'm not aware of?" He asked.

"Such as?" She questioned back.

"Sana kya bol rahi thi. Maine bhi notice kara tum ajkal udaas ho."

"Kuch nahi, I told you I'm stressed these days. Mere exams thik nahi hue bas isliye." She said.

"Mai bewakoof lagta hoon tumhe? Kal ro kyu rahi thi? Exams mat bolna kyu ke tum kisi bhi chiz ke liye ro sakti ho but exams." He let out a dry chuckle.

"Can we not talk about this? Meri tabiyat thik nahi hai. I need to rest." She moved past him.

"You can talk to me anytime, you know that right?" He asked and she nodded her head. With that she disappeared out of his sight.
