Then Tae began to read.

What will I say when I find my heart again?

Once he has restored my faith and unfamiliar hope flares when he draws near.

When I find the lips that caress my name and gentle hands that mold my body to his.

I will spill myself over him like red wine onto white lace and he will listen…and hear…and heal

And when all the words but these have tumbled out and he holds me in sacred shelter, I will kiss him and whisper the three words hidden in the pocket where my heart once beat and beats once again.

And he will kiss me back and mean it.

There was a long pause and Tae lifted his eyes to her, full of questions and hope.

Then she leaned in, cupped his face in her hands and kissed him.

She pressed her lips to his and offered him everything in that ancient union of bodies and spirits.

She drew back, eyes searching his face and whispered,

“I love you.”

Tae took her in his arms, crushing her to him and pressed his full lips to hers, taking her mouth for his own, taking from her all the gifts she offered.

And then, even though she had already been answered, even though the words echoed in memories they could not quite recall, he said it for her, anyway, again, always.

“Sky.  I love you so much.”

He kissed her again and rolled so that her body was tucked beneath his.  She opened her knees to cradle him, the silk creating a friction of pleasure between them.  They needed no more words.

He reached to touch her and found her bare and ready for him.  She watched his face as he slowly entered her and in moments, they were chasing glory, each calling the other’s name, sounds of pleasure the music of the morning.

Quickly they were caught up in waves of emotion and physical response as one final kiss pushed them to the edge.  Falling together into pleasure, they held each other tightly, whispering “I love you”.

Tae shifted his weight from her and laid his head on her chest, listening to her hard breaths as he tried to calm his breathing as well.

Everything about this moment was perfect.  He nuzzled into her breasts, her heartbeat lulling him to rest.  She held him tightly, thankful for the time to hold him to feel his energy and share hers with him.

They were content in the silence until they heard the alarm chirp from the café downstairs.  Tae groaned and burrowed deeper in her arms.

“No…no…..no…..it cannot be 8 already,” he whined.
