Chapter 238 ~ Ira

Brilliant, golden chains made of divine energy wrapped around the massive, ape-like creature with horns and burning flames spewing out of its body and the heavy armor-clad flaming knight on horseback as Leon bound both the Rathalos and Strom with his divine chains at once.

Both floor bosses appeared to be extremely hurt with frosts and wounds all over its body and icicles sticking out of them as they were bound with the golden chains with the entirety of Crimson Lightning before them, ready to attack at a moment's notice.

A few moments later, a loud shattering sound reverberated within the underground training grounds of the Misteltein mansion, and everyone immediately unleashed their attacks in unison, finishing off both floor bosses that slowly dissipated into particles of light and ember as they fall.

Applause resounded a few distances away from the edge of the training grounds as Celestine, Lilith, Sonya, Aura, and Vivian made their way towards them.

"Well done, everyone~ You've done very well against the two of them at once~ You can also hold both of them at once for 1 minute now~ Congratulations~"

Celestine petted Charlotte's head softly before turning toward her son with a brilliant smile.

Almost a month and a half had passed since Leon proposed the suggestion to speed up their schedule. During those times, they've been increasing the frequency and intensity of their training in preparations for the raid.

Leon had been learning more and more about the divine seal and tried creating some to better understand it with his mother, as well as improving his skill with the divine chains.

He, Freya, Lily, Mia, and every one of Crimson Lightning, including Laura, had also fought against the floor bosses of the wrath dungeon that Vivian created with her spell over and over for their training, familiarizing themselves with the level of strength of such monsters.

They fought against two floor bosses at once, three on occasions, and improved their fighting capabilities tremendously by pushing themselves to their limits everyday. Sometimes even requiring Freya, Leon, and Charlotte to cast their healing spells to recover and heal the wounds they've suffered during training.

Then in between their training, they would also go to Arcesia, the castle of eternal ice, where they would meet Drakonn and Bellona to discuss and begin forming concrete plans about the path they would take, avoiding traps and hazards they would encounter, strategies against the monsters they would encounter, and their plan when they've arrived at the final floor.

They've worked so hard and improved so much in such a short time, and as their mother figure, she couldn't help but feel very proud~

"Uhn~ You've done so well~ To bound those things completely for a minute, it's a really amazing feat! It'll definitely be very useful when we dive into Wrath's dungeon~! And everyone has become even stronger too!"

"That's right! Good job, everyone!"

"U-Uhn! Everyone was amazing!"

Lilith, Aura, and Vivian all cheered and began talking excitedly with Freya and the others about their training, while Sonya slowly made her way to Leon and looked up at with through the seams of her long, jet-black bangs.

"You were amazing... Keep on improving... You will be able to hold even us at this rate."

Her voice was soft and flat, but Leon could notice the slight warmth in her voice compared to how she was in the past.

His lips couldn't help but curl up into a smile as he replied to her.

"Thank you, Sonya. I'll continue to work hard.
