Chapter 33 ~ Guild Masters' Meeting

AN: Woooo~ Second chapter for the week! Who knows how long I can do this for anymore.... Uni starts at 17 so second chapters might just be a thing of the past.... But I will still do my best to do it :D It will be hard though... Considering I am writing another series and is planning on writing a new one (Otome game Villainess trope craze~ coz I love it!). So yeah! Don't worry, GF will always be going coz I love this thing. Especially since I've thought of another two exciting arcs that I'm really excited to write. The adventurer's guild in the royal capital is always incredibly full of life. Since it was the main guild branch where many high ranked adventurers gather, it was natural that many requests would be sent there. And that was why it attracted many adventurers to make the royal capital branch as their home base.

More adventurers equaled more liveliness. Though there were times when things get out of hand, the higher ranked adventurers would pacify the situation.

This time, instead of the usual liveliness and rambunctiousness, the guild hall where the adventurers usually hang out in was noisy with discussions and debates on a certain rumor.

It was a rumor about the appearance of a calamity class monster.

Since monster hunting was a part of an adventurer's job, they would be familiar with the monster ranking system the guild created. Threat, Danger, Hazard, Menace, Disaster, Calamity, Catastrophe, and Armageddon.

In their lives, they've only even heard of the appearance of a disaster class monster. Only few have encountered them, and even less had fought them and lived to tell the tale. The number of adventurers who had defeated a disaster class monster could be counted by one hand and they didn't defeat it alone. The only reason why there were ranks above it was solely because they had appeared a long time ago. Even then, the reason why mankind which includes humans, demi-humans and other races, still survived was because they vanished without anyone knowing why or how.

And now, a rumor of the appearance of a calamity class monster, a monster from legends, and the fact that someone defeated it had gained massive attention from the people, especially the adventurers.

The rumor called the person who defeated it as the Dark Hero, Crimson Blade and many others. However apparently his real name haven't reached as far as the capital.

Some were afraid of the fact that a calamity class monster actually existed. Some were curious about the person who could actually defeat the monster from legends. And the rest dismissed it as rumors. Actually at this moment, more people thought of it as mere rumor, a mere tale told by bards to gain attention.

However, the higher ups of the Adventurer's Guild were aware of the truths behind the rumor and were now meeting to discuss this unprecedented event.

Twenty people were gathered in a large conference room, larger than the one in Ligenia branch Adventurer's Guild.

There was a large table, decorated with a vase full of beautiful flowers in the middle. Although it might be a normal thing in an expensive restaurant or luxurious dining tables, it was a strange sight in an Adventurer Guild's conference table. It was the hobby of the Guild Master of the royal capital branch.

The people that surrounded the table were guild masters and respective vice guild masters whose standing behind them from various Adventurer Guild branches in the kingdom. Four were humans, the other four were beastmen, including a Wolfman, Rabbitman, Catwoman, and Foxwoman. And the last two were a male dwarf and a female elf.
