Chapter 60 ~ Audience with the King (1)

AN: Hey guys! I'm back with another chapter for the week! This is one whole chapter, not one chapter I divide into two parts. Next chapter will be Audience with the King (2). I might be dividing chapters into two parts after these two chapters.

Maya, princess Aria's personal maid, personally escorted Crimson Lightning into a waiting room to stand by in until the time of audience.

"Wow, what a luxurious room."

After entering the waiting room, everyone except for Leon can't help but sigh in awe at the sight of such large luxurious room. Lux and Noir also jumped out of Freya and Lily's arms and immediately run around. It was four times as large as their room in the Blue Meridian which could fit all of them with a lot of space to spare.

The room was floored with marble, and it's wall painted with white, silver-ish paint. Leon felt a bit of magic emitting out of it. It seems this room was protected with some sort of barrier.

Before Maya left, Mia asked her if they should wear a more formal clothing but she said it would be fine for them to stay in their current clothing. They were not their usual adventuring clothing, but rather a semi-formal clothing.

Leon and his player assistant were wearing their usual divine class equipment which, although used in combat, were still very elegant and beautiful. Mia, Lily and Rafael on the other hand were using a simple dress and shirt for going out.

Maya said to not mind it. However considering the event, they still changed their clothing into a more formal one.

After they finish changing their clothes, which the girls told the boys to get out first while they were changing, Mia, Rafael and Lily seemed excited as they sat on a luxuriously soft sofa and looked around the room. There were several paintings and flower vases decorating the room. It wouldn't be a surprise if each of them fetched a jaw dropping price, especially for commoners.

Alex leaned beside the door to guard against potential assailants. Although he might look overreacting, his master ordered him to be on guard while in the castle. Thus, such a thing was only a matter of fact for him.

Freya and Charlotte on the other hand were sitting comfortably on the sofa. Though they might look relaxed, they were constantly looking out for unusual magic presences so they can react immediately just like Leon.

Vyra was also on guard as she stood behind Leon who was sitting on the sofa. He asked her to sit down too but she declined him respectfully. Leon would have insisted further normally but since they must be vigilant against any enemies who might seek to harm them, he let her be on guard and thanked her.

It actually wasn't that dangerous of a situation for now. Since they would be meeting with the King, it would be foolish to launch an attack on them now knowing that there were numerous knight guarding the king who was nearby.

However, they still do since it's better safe than sorry. Especially since it concerns their precious friends.

Soon after, Yves arrived and entered the room after the maid who escorted her opened it for her. She was wearing a similar yukata which she wore when they met, but it seems the flower patterns slightly differ.

"Good morning, everyone. It's nice to see you again."

As soon as the maid closed the door, Yves seemed to become more relaxed and began talking to Leon and the others is a very friendly manner.
