Chapter 54 ~ Yves

AN: Phew~ Things have finally starting to calm down. Got two more tests left but they're considerably easier ones so got some time to stockpile Grandeur Fantasia~~~ Here goes the first chapter for the week! If things go well, there might be another chapter this week to celebrate the end of my end of semester test!!! XD Wish me luck!

After the disturbance in the guild hall with Kadera, Yves, the guild master of the royal capital branch Adventurer's guild invited Crimson Lightning to her office.

The guild master's room here was larger than the one in Lingenia. Though the decorations were just limited to simple vases with flowers and and table cloth with flower patterns.

It seemed that Yves likes flowers judging by the decorations in the room and the flower pattern on her dress which Leon recognized as a yukata.

When all of us entered the room, Yves turned around and faced us. Leon and the others was surprised at her sudden action. The man beside her, who Leon think was the vice guild master, also seemed to be surprised by her action.

She was smiling from ear to ear. It was different from the elegant smile she had just before they entered here.

All of Crimson Lightning stood in confusion. But suddenly, her figure disappeared from her position.

"What?!"

Mia let her voice leaked out of surprise. Of course Leon and the others were similarly surprised but rather than voicing it out, they became speechless.

"*Poof*"

Leon saw the green yukata from the corner of his vision. When he turned to look, Yves was hugging Charlotte. Though, it might looked more like she's burying Charlotte's face in her ample bosom. She wasn't doing it on purpose. Charlotte's head was just at the same height as her chest.

"Kyaa! You're so cute! Your name is Charlotte right?! Nice to meet you. My name is Yves. Ah, you really are so cute! Can I keep you?"

"I...I'm bro... brother's so... no!"

"Kya! You have brother's complex? That's so cute!"

"L-Let me... go!"

"Oh, sorry. Am I suffocating you?"

"Hah...Hah...Hah..."

Leon was dumbfounded by the guild master's action. There wasn't a hint of the guild master who sentenced Kadera's and the rest of the Crimson Spear's punishment now. Is this her true nature? Or was it acting.

Either way, Leon's vigilance of Yves rose several levels now that he saw her in person. And also, the fact that all the farce before was part of her plan.

The guild master breathe out and regained her previous composure. Her dignified air and poise returned. The guild master who looked like a child while playing with Charlotte was no more. The figure in front of Leon was that of a dignified, powerful and intelligent elf.

A mix of anxiousness and vigilance due to her cunningness and awe due to seeing an elf for the first time swirled inside Leon. However, because of that, his heart became as still as water. There was no reason to panic or show his vigilance after all. Panicking would deter his decision making and thought process while showing his vigilance might cause the other party to withhold information they would otherwise give.

"Forgive my late introduction. My name is Yves Lurey Crea. I am the guild master of the royal capital branch Adventurer's Guild. It is nice to finally meet you, Crimson Lightning."
