~Chapter33~

I woke up with the sunlight hitting my face. Today's Sunday and yet I am still in bed.

I got up, fixed my bed, arranged the pillows and folded the blankets then I went to the bathroom to wash my face. Afterwards, I went out of my room and I saw my sister Sunnie standing outside.
      “Sunnie, you startled me.”
      “Sorry, Cherie, I just want to tell you something. I'm going to a private pool party this afternoon and I was hoping you could come with me?”
      “Sorry, Sunnie, I have to study for tomorrow's quiz on math.”

Sunnie sighed.

     “Come on, Cherie loosen up a little.”
     “Fine, but I'm bringing my book with me.”
     “Study freak.” she uttered.
     “That's what I am.”
     “By the way. Harris and Harry are coming.”
     “Why are you telling me this?”
     “Nevermind,”
     “What time does it start?”
     “7:30.”
     “Okay, then.”
     “Oh, did I also mention that Daniel is coming?”
     “So, what's the big deal?”
     “Don't you see that Daniel likes you.”
     “Here we go again? I said and rolled my eyes at her. Can you prove that theory? That he likes me? Sunnie I don't get you really, just call me when it's time to go.” I said as I closed the door at her.
So I studied for my math quiz. I created a few sample questions and answered them.

It's just simple equations and I answer it. I'm bringing my book to the party so that I can review some more. Hmm, I wonder what a party would look like. Maybe it's the same as an ordinary party except there's a pool. I stopped thinking about it and went downstairs and saw mom and Sunnie talking. I just sat on the couch.

     “Mom, can I go to the pool party?”
     “Are you done with your homeworks Sunnie?”
     “I have no homework because my teacher didn't give us any.”
      “Oh, is that so? Okay, then you can go.”
     “Yes!”She exclaimed.
     “Just don't stay out too long?”
     “Okay, mom, by the way where's your sister?”
     “In her room studying as usual.”
     “Tell her, she'll drive you to the pool party and stay with you.”
     “Okay, mom.”
Sunnie went upstairs and knocked on Cherie's door.
I heard someone knocking on my door and I opened it.
     “Sunnie, what is it?”
     “I asked mom if you could come to the party and she agreed.”
     “What? How did that happen?”
     “She told me that you'll drive me there and stay with me.”
     “Ugh, fine but I'm going to keep studying and I'm not wearing my bathing suit either, I'm just there to watch you okay.”
     “Okay,”
     “Now please leave I'm trying to solve this problem?”
     “Okay, okay, I'll see you later.”
After that, Sunnie left.
I was just thinking about how to solve this math problem. Then my phone rang. I answered immediately.

     “What do you want?”I screamed in frustration.
     “Cherie, are you alright?”
     “Who's this?”
     “Uh, it's Daniel?”
     “Oh right, I'm sorry if I shouted earlier I was really stressed out.”
     “It's okay, by the way are you coming to Gigi's private pool party later?”
     “Yeah, we'll see about that because I have to study for tomorrow's quiz so I'm not sure if I could come.”
     “I hope you'll come.”
     “Why? Will you miss me if I will not come?”
      “Well.”
      “Sorry Daniel I have to go.” She said and hung up.
     “Yes, I will miss you Cherie.” He whispered.

If Cherie only knew how much I like her then maybe she'll notice me more. He said to himself.

Minutes later.
What if I called Ethan to come with me so it wouldn't be so awkward but can I invite Ethan? I'll have to ask Sunnie first if it's okay with Gigi. 
So I went to my sisters room and knocked.
     “Sunnie, open the door I have to ask you something?”
She opened the door then I asked.
     “Sunnie, can Ethan come?”
     “Sure, but I have to ask Gigi first.”
     “Okay, can you do it now?”
     “Sure, let me know if she agreed.”
     “Yeah, okay.”
So I went out of Sunnie's room and went to my room.
I just got my math text book and started reading and copied those notes on a paper.
A little while later.
Sunnie called Gigi and it's ringing then someone said hello.
     “Gigi is that you?”
     “Um, who's this?”
     “It's Sunnie Gigi's friend.”
     “Oh, wait a minute. Gigi your friend just called.”
     “Okay, I'm coming.”
Then his brother handed the phone to her.
    “Thanks.”she said and took the phone from his brother.
    “Okay, Sis, I'll see you later.” He said as he left.
Then she put the phone to her ear and said.
    “Hello?”
    “Hi Gigi. It's me, Sunnie.”
    "Oh hi, Sunnie! Why did you call?"
    "Because Cherie wanted to invite Ethan to the pool party would you agree?"
    "Who's Ethan by the way?"
    "My sister's best friend, so can he come?"
    "Yeah sure, why not? The more the merrier."
    “Okay, I'll tell her thanks Gigi.” she said as she hung up.
Sunnie went to Cherie's room to tell her that Gigi agreed Ethan can come. She knocks on her door.
I heard someone knocking at my door. I opened it to see Sunnie standing there.
     “So, Sunnie, did Gigi agree to it?”
     “Yes, she agreed to it.”
     “Yes, I'll call Ethan if he can go.
     “Thanks, again Sunnie.” I said and she left going to her room.

I called Ethan to tell him to come with me to the pool party if he's free of course. I hope my best friend will come with me. I hope he'll agree. So I got my phone and dialed his number. It's ringing. Then I heard a voice saying: “Hello?”

    “Jennie, is that you?”
    “Cherie, why did you call?”
    “Because I wanted to invite Ethan to a pool party? Can I talk to him.”
     “Sure, and can I come too.”
     “I have asked Sunnie first if it's alright with Gigi. Can I talk to Ethan?”
     “Ethan, Cherie wants to talk to you.”
     “Okay.”
Then Jennie gave the phone Ethan
     “Thanks, sis.”I said then she left.
     “Hello, Ethan?”
     “Oh, Cherie, why did you want to talk?”
     “Ethan, Um, I was wondering if you would like to come to Gigi's pool party with me. It'll be so awkward if I go alone only to watch Sunnie and study please come with me.”
     “Well, okay but you'll have to swim too.”
     “What? But I cannot swim you know that.”
     “Don't worry, I'll teach you. Just bring your bathing suit.”

Cherie closed her eyes for a while before sighing.

     “Are you sure you can teach me?”
     “For sure, don't worry.”
     “If I don't agree will you still come?”
     “Come on, Cherie, I'll teach you how to swim don't worry.”
     “Fine.”
     “Oh, I have to go. I think my mom is calling me. I'll see later at the pool just text me the address of Gigi's house okay. What time does it starts?”
     “7:30.”
     “Do you want me to drive you there?”
     “If you're not busy, could you?”
     “Sure, I'll pick you and Sunnie up by around 6:30.”
     “Okay, sure. We'll be waiting.”
