"Hey," Haylee smiled as Jonah's face popped up on her screen.
"Hi," he smiled tiredly.
"Goin to sleep?" Haylee asked.
"Soon yeah. How are you?"
"I'm good thanks. How was your day?"
"Good. Long. I wanted to tell you I talked with Cousy and Meg."
"Really?" She perked up, "how'd it go?"
"Alright. They're mad at me still, but they understood where we were coming from. I told them that I should've just been upfront and honest with all of them, and I regret how this transpired."
Haylee nodded and rested her head on her knees, "I knew you for about five years before I met Sam, and I was single that whole time. You never told me you liked me."
"Yeah because I was gone in college and stuff. Plus I didn't want to make things weird. Besides, Lex always said that you had a bit of a crush on Nolan. Everyone likes Nolan better."
"Jo-"
"No it's fine. It's just the truth. I figured if you liked him then you wouldn't like me."
"Jonah, I'm so sorry."
"Don't be. It's not your fault. I never told you. You couldn't have known."
"Jo," Haylee frowned.
"Look it's fine. I never told you. I just wanted to let you know that I talked to Cousy and Meg. It's not everyone, but it's a start."
"I'm glad you did. Get some sleep," Haylee smiled.
"I will," he nodded, "have a good rest of your day, Hayls."
