"Ugh. I just don't feel good," Haylee complained to Paige while fanning her face.

The Warriors had played the Hawks the night before, but Haylee stayed behind so she could spend some time with Paige and Dillon. She had been alone with the dogs for the last week and a half since Jonah had started pre season. Haylee was flying out the next morning to go back home.

"Still feeling car sick?" Paige asked sympathetically as Haylee took a sip from her water glass.

"Yeah. And I don't know something in the stadium, just the smell made me feel nauseous."

"Hah, what are you pregnant? You look like you've put on some weight," Dillon snorted.

"No," Haylee narrowed her eyes.

"You sure? I know you had your IUD removed shortly after you married Sam. Did you get back on birth control?" Paige asked.

"Well this is where I go check the grill," Dillon wrinkled his nose and stood up, "don't need to hear about my baby sister's birth control and sex life."

"No. There was no need to," Haylee shook her head once Dillon was safely outside.

"But have you been having sex with Jonah?"

"Of course, but we use condoms, and he pulls out."

"Haylee, don't be stupid. You were throwing up all day yesterday and all day today. You need to take a test," Paige fixed her with a hard look.

"I know," Haylee sighed.

"Fortunately, I have some."

"I didn't know you and Dill were trying," Haylee smiled.

"We're not; I'm just paranoid," Paige chuckled.

"Oh," Haylee laughed too and followed Paige upstairs to the bathroom.

Paige handed her a few at home pregnancy tests and then left the bathroom. Haylee bit her lip and took a deep breath. She did the tests and laid them on some toilet paper. She washed her hands and opened the door.

"Can you wait with me?" Haylee looked at Paige.

"Of course," she nodded. Haylee sighed and went and sat in the bathtub as Paige sat on the toilet seat. "Have you missed any periods?"

"Yeah. I missed last month, but I just figured it was due to stress. I'm a couple days late now," Haylee covered her face with her hands.

"Take a deep breath. It could still just be stress. There's a lot going on, and you have a way of taking on everyone's problems and internalising them. You literally make yourself sick," Paige forced a smile.

"Are they done?" Haylee bit her lip.

"Yeah."

"What do they say?" Haylee's voice was barely above a whisper as she looked at Paige with tears in her eyes.

"You're pregnant, Hayls," Paige gave a small smile.

"Oh my god! I'm so fucking stupid. I'm so fucking stupid," Haylee wailed as she started to cry into her hands.

"No you aren't," Paige climbed into the bathtub and hugged her tightly, "these things happen for a reason."

"Yeah because I'm stupid," she cried on Paige's shoulder.

"No you aren't, Haylee. Stop saying that."

"Dinner's-oh," Dillon poked his head into the bathroom, "what's wrong?"

"I'm pregnant!" Haylee wailed.

"Seriously? I was kidding," Dillon's brow furrowed.

"We're serious," Paige pointed at the tests on the counter.

"Why are you crying? You've always wanted to be a mom," Dillon sat on the edge of the bathtub.

"Because I'm fucking stupid! Me and Jonah have only been together eight months!"

"Haylee, calm down-"

"I CAN'T CALM DOWN!" She yelled at Dillon.

"Jonah loves you so much. Are you worried about his reaction? Because I know he's gonna be thrilled," Dillon ignored her interruption.

"You don't know that," she muttered, "I thought Sam was gonna be thrilled."

"Dill's right. Jonah is gonna be so excited. He's madly in love with you," Paige ran her fingers through Haylee's hair, "and you can tell him when you get back to San Fran tomorrow."

"He's in Arizona for Spring training," Haylee muttered dully.

"Isn't Scottsdale only like half an hour away from Phoenix? You can see him when you're there in two days," Dillon reached out and took her hand.

"I guess so," she mumbled leaning her head on Paige's shoulder.

"How about you get out of the bathtub and come downstairs and have something to eat. You look a bit pale," Dillon suggested.

"You'd be pale too if you were throwing up for two days straight," she snapped.

"Great, the pregnancy hormones have already started. Glad I don't live in the same state as you anymore," he sneered at her as Paige smacked his leg.

"Dillon!" She chastised.

"Come on. You need to eat."

"I know. Just give me a minute. I'll be downstairs soon. Don't wait for me," Haylee sighed.

"You sure?" Paige tilted her head.

"Positive. Thank you," she forced a smile as she wiped the tears off her cheeks.

"Okay. I love you," Paige kissed her cheek and slowly got out of the bathtub with a little help from Dillon.

"I love you so much, Hayls. We might live in different states, but we're both gonna be here for you during this," Dillon leaned down and kissed her forehead.

"I love you both too," she smiled weakly before they walked out.

Haylee laid down in the bathtub covered her face again. She let out a deep sigh and gently rested a hand on her stomach. She bit her lip as she thought about being pregnant again.

Haylee had barely had the chance to be pregnant before she miscarried. And then there was Sam's cheating and the divorce. So much had happened in such a short period of time. It worried her. She didn't want to miscarry again. Haylee didn't think her heart could take that again.

Haylee's thoughts wondered to Jonah. He was so great with August Jo and children in general. She was sure he would make a fantastic father. But they hadn't talked about kids. She couldn't help but be a little worried about his reaction. Sam was shocked and a little upset before coming around to the idea of being a father.

Obviously Jonah and Sam were very different men, but Haylee couldn't help but worry that Jonah might not be happy that she had gotten pregnant so quickly. She wiped her eyes as the tears began to flow again.

"I'm so fucking stupid," Haylee whispered to herself again before slowly sitting up.

She stood up and carefully got out of the bathtub. She looked at the pregnancy tests. All three had the two little blue or pink lines to signify that she was pregnant. Haylee gripped the counter and stared at the tests blankly. She wrapped them up in tissues and put them back in one of the boxes before going into her room and putting the box in her suitcase.

"Well then," she muttered before heading downstairs to have dinner.
