This is partially inspired from Steven Universe...again. I was thinking about what if the reader, who was a student at the school Peter went to, didn't get dusted in the snap like Peter did so she continues to live her life five years later after the events from Endgame. Maybe Peter feels like he's falling behind so he tries to whip up something to increase his age which  ends up in a backfires.

Some fluff, angst, and a bit of homophobia on Flash Thompson's part (Yes I know it's 2020, but Flash is an insensitive bully and that's still what bullies do).

"Uh what the hell is all this?" Flash questions as he walks passed Peter, Ned, MJ, and several other students who were practicing on the stage. "What does it look like we're doing? We're practicing," Ned scoffs like it's supposed to be obvious. "For what? The cheer-leading squad?" Flash scoffs. "Seriously, Flash, didn't you hear?" one of the students speaks up, "There's a talent competition in town tonight, sponsored by the school. You can enter alone or with a group of up to four people." "Hey, you can always join our little duo if you want," Peter offers, "Ned and I are doing a musical theater piece from Mama Mia. We can always use an extra, it'll really liven the choreography, watch." Peter and Ned show what they've been practicing so far.

"Yeah, no," Flash deadpans, "One this whole talent competition is lame and childish. And two, that little dance you guys pulled off... makes you look completely gay." "You say that like it's a bad thing," MJ calls out, "What's the matter, Thompson? You uncomfortable with your sexuality?" "I am VERY comfortable with my sexuality," Flash gets defensive, "but knowing the kind of crowd you people are obviously going to attract, I'd rather not get slap around with THEIR sexuality." "Ah, well too bad, Flash, your loss," Ned says, "I mean, knowing you, I thought that thousand dollar award would've been a major incentive for you to sign up." "I'm sorry, what?" Flash's ear's perk up. "Yeah, first place winner wins one grand," Peter explains. "Maybe it's for the best," MJ quips in, "Wouldn't want Thompson here questioning everything he's ever known up to this point of his life." "Uh, you know I was joking about that, of course," Flash laughs nervously, "Come on, it was a joke, people still do that. Hehehe...." "Sign up sheet is up front at the reception desk," Peter points, "You better hurry, they close it in five minutes."
"Later, losers!" Flash quickly takes off at the speed of sound to sign up for the contest.

Peter's phone alarm goes off, "Ooh, we better get going if we're gonna surprise (y/n)." Surprise?" Ned seemed confused. "Ned, don't you remember what day it is?" Peter asks. "Oh yeah, that's right," Ned realizes, "oh my god, we gotta get the cake, and the presents, and oh man, did we even get the place all set up yet?" "I took care of that," MJ tells them, "but you better get the cake. It's not a party without cake." "I'll go get (y/n) then," Peter rushes off, "Don't jump out till I give out the signal!"

Meanwhile you had just gotten off your shift as an intern at this attorney office. It was your first year in law school, and after what you went through the last five years, it felt like one hell of a mile stone.

You were one the fortunate few that wasn't dusted in the snap, or blip or your old high school friends called it. Unfortunately though, you also had to cope with the loss of your friends, among those, being Peter Parker. It was a rough five years, wondering if they would ever come back, but you had to make do with what you had and live life. By the time your friends miraculously came back, you had graduated high school, college, and was about to start law school, but they had still remained the age they were when they disappeared. So they all had to restart the year they were in high school. When you saw them all again, when you saw Peter, it felt all too surreal, especially since he basically didn't age and here you were old enough to order to martini at a steakhouse. You felt confused to say the least; on one hand you were so relieved that him and Ned and MJ and everyone else that got dusted came back, but on the other hand you had a crush on Peter when you were in high school with him. And being five years older than him now, you being an adult, and him still being a minor, it felt so wrong on so many levels. It didn't matter if you and him were technically the same age, the law wouldn't see it that way.
