It's the day of my birthday.

It's usually the best day of the year for most of us but not for me.

I don't really like birthdays, it's the one day everyone pretends to care.

"Happy birthday, Y/N!" My sister greeted and smiled.

I faked a smile "Thank you" I said and she hand me the cake.

"Make a wish" My dad said and I closed my eyes.

What will I wish for?

Good health, I guess.

Happy life?

I don't really care about what I wish for.

It doesn't come true.

Fuck birthdays.

Flashback...

12:00 am

"Happy birthday!" Jeongyeon greeted and hugged me.

"Thank you, Jeong" I said and hugged her back.

I closed my eyes and wished.

Heal her and make her stay.

I blew the candles and she clapped her hands.

"Why did you wish for?" She asked "I can't tell you" I said and she pouted.

"Visiting hours is over for you, Y/N" The nurse said and I nodded.

"I'll see you tomorrow, okay?" I said and she nodded.

"We'll spend your birthday together?" She asked and I nodded.

"Like we usually do" I said and pecked her forehead.

"I'll be going now. Take care" I said and she nodded.

"Goodbye, Y/N" She said and smiled.

I looked at the nurse "Thank you for allowing me to stay with her for a little longer" I said and he smiled.

Visiting hours at this hospital is 6 am to 9pm but he allowed me to wait for my birthday.

"It's your birthday anyways" He said "I appreciate it. Please look after her" I said and he nodded.

"Rest now, okay?" I told Jeongyeon and she smiled.

Time skip...

I woke up due to the noise outside of my room.

I got up and did my morning routine.

I went out of my room and saw my parents crying.

"What happened?" I asked and they shook their heads.

"I'm sorry" My dad said and held my hand.

What's happening?

"Why are you apologizing, dad?" I asked "J-Jeong-" I didn't let him finish.

I grabbed my keys and went out of our house.

I drive as fast as I can.

What happened to her?

I arrived at the hospital.

I ran as fast as I could until I reached her room but the door is open.
