As they opened the door to Dogday's room Catnap's heart broke. Dogday was whining and whimpering because Crafty had clipped his ears above his head, and he was forced to take it being a dog who was told to sit and stay. "Catnap..?" Dogday asked while shaking. Catnap wasted no time unclipping Dogday's ears and very gently massaging them for him. "Oh puppy... what happened to you?" he asked frowning. Dogday stayed silent and leaned into Catnap's touch. "Please don't leave me with Crafty.." he begged... Dogday only ever begs when he's desperate. Catnap got protective after that. He gathered Dogday in his arms and sat on Dogday's bed with Dogday in his arms as he kept gently rubbing his ears. He smiled as he felt Dogday's tail thumping next to him.
Downstairs all the other critters were around Craftycorn. "What gives Crafty? You tried to hurt Dogday, I thought you loved him!" Bobby Bearhug said pointing an accusing finger towards the unicorn. "It's not my fault!" Crafty throws the flowers at the wall. "It's not fair, Catnap ALWAYS wants to be by Dogday, and I never even get a chance to see him since Catnap's always hanging off him, and Alya and Angel, those two need to stay with the other kids! But no! Dogday keeps allowing them in his house even if it's unsafe!" Craftycorn was going on a full rant now. "Why can't I be the one by Dogday's side?! Why it is always a cat?!" "Because Catnap is just better, and you need to accept it Crafty." Dogday stood at the doorway of the stairs having heard everything. Craftycorn's eyes widen as she knew she was busted. "You tried to poison me.. with chocolate!?" Dogday was enraged.
