Sitting at the Sakanoshita Store, (y/n) enjoyed her breakfast while trying to ignore the obnoxious smell of Keishin's cigarettes. Today marked her first day of classes, and she was double-checking her bag to ensure she had everything she needed.

"Hey, Jinx, don't forget your volleyball gear. We have an early practice this morning," Keishin called out to her. "And you should head out now to get your class schedule from the office."

(Y/n) rolled her eyes at her brother's nickname for her. "Stop calling me Jinx. I'm not a jinx!" she retorted.

Keishin chuckled. "You're short, and you cause me misfortune, so yeah, you're a jinx. But you know what? Maybe it's a cute nickname for you."

"Ugh, you're impossible," (y/n) groaned as she made her way out of the store.

"Oi!" Keishin shouted after her, but it was too late. His sister was already out the door.

As (y/n) made her way out of the store, she was lost in her own thoughts, thinking about the classes she was going to attend on her first day. Suddenly, she collided with Tanaka, and they both fell to the ground. Tanaka was speechless for a few seconds, but he couldn't help but feel grateful for the close proximity to (y/n)'s chest.

Embarrassed, (y/n) quickly helped Tanaka get up and apologized for the collision. Tanaka, feeling a little more confident, greeted her with a big smile, his face red as a ripe tomato. If only he could keep his cool around (y/n), he thought to himself.

"G-good morning (y/n)-san!" The boy shouted, a shiver running down his spine as (e/c) orbs shot up to look at him.

"Good morning, Tanaka-senpai. I'm sorry I ran into you like that. Are you heading to school now?" (y/n) asked.

After some small talk, Tanaka offered to walk with (y/n) to school. On the way, he proudly talked about Karasuno High and tried to teach her how to make his famous delinquent face. (Y/n) couldn't help but laugh and feel grateful for the unexpected company.

As (y/n) walked with Tanaka, she couldn't help but feel a sense of ease and comfort in his presence. He had a contagious energy that made her forget about her nervousness and insecurities about starting at a new school. Tanaka, for his part, was thrilled to be walking with (y/n).

"So, what classes do you have today?" Tanaka asked, trying to make conversation.

"I don't have my schedule yet, hopefully I'll have an easy first day," (y/n) replied. "What about you?"

"I have P.E., History, and Art," Tanaka said, grinning. "I'm pretty good at P.E., but History is a bit of a struggle for me."

"I'm sure you'll do fine," (y/n) said, smiling at him.

As they continued walking, Tanaka couldn't help but feel drawn to (y/n)'s positive energy. She seemed to radiate a warmth that made him feel at ease. He felt grateful for the opportunity to walk with her, even if it was only for a short while.

Once they arrived at the school, (y/n) thanked Tanaka and headed to the office to get her schedule.

"Thanks for walking with me, Tanaka-senpai. It was really nice," (y/n) said, smiling at him.

"No problem, (y/n). Anytime you need help, just let me know," Tanaka said, grinning back at her.

As (y/n) walked away, Tanaka couldn't help but feel a sense of loss. He wished he could have spent more time with her, but he knew he had practice to attend to.

...

Lost and unsure, (y/n) found herself standing at an intersection in the hallway, scanning the signs above the doors in confusion. She let out a sigh of frustration, realizing she should have asked Tanaka- for directions. That's when a soft voice spoke up.

"A-are you lost?" The voice belonged to a cute, blonde girl about her height.

(Y/n) turned to the girl with a grateful smile. "Yes, actually. I'm supposed to pick up my schedule at the office, but I'm not sure where that is."

"Just follow this hallway and turn left at the end, it will be on your right," the girl explained kindly. "I could show you the way, if you want me to."

"Thank you so much!" (y/n) beamed at the girl before her.

As (y/n) and the cute blonde girl walked side by side towards the office, they struck up a conversation. The girl shared that her name was Yachi, and that she was a first-year student like (y/n). (Y/n) couldn't help but notice that Yachi seemed a little shy, with her eyes downcast and her voice soft.

Despite her shyness, Yachi was incredibly kind and helpful. She asked (y/n) about her interests and hobbies, and even though they had only just met, (y/n) felt like they had already become fast friends.

As they neared the office, (y/n) couldn't help but feel a twinge of sadness that their conversation was coming to an end. She was grateful for Yachi's help, but she didn't want their encounter to be over just yet.

When they arrived at the office, Yachi pointed out the door and wished (y/n) good luck on her first day. (Y/n) thanked her, and as she turned to leave, she hesitated for a moment before finally mustering up the courage to ask.

"Hey, Yachi," she said, turning back to the shy girl. "Do you maybe want to hang out sometime? Maybe we can grab lunch together today?"

Yachi's eyes widened in surprise, and (y/n) could see a faint blush spreading across her cheeks. But after a moment, the shy girl nodded, a small smile appearing on her lips.

"Sure," she said softly. "I'd like that."

With that, (y/n) left the office with a spring in her step. She couldn't wait to get to know Yachi better and explore all that their new school had to offer.
