"Your mind is too active. If you were able to move freely, it would give me a headache," said the Ink Doctor calmly. Then, he extended an arm and effortlessly lifted Han Li, taking strides out of the room.

Outside, the scorching sun still beat down relentlessly. Han Li felt like he had been inside for a long time, but it had only been a brief moment.

The Ink Doctor carried Han Li as if he were carrying an object, casually crossing through the side yard of the house and arriving at a remote stone wall. The giant man followed silently, like his shadow, never leaving his side.

Through his eyes, Han Li could clearly see that in front of him, a stone house that he had never seen before had been built. The stone house resembled the meditation chamber Han Li used to use, entirely constructed of stone, with the only difference being that the outer walls had been simply whitewashed with lime.

Judging by the materials used for the stone house, although it was rough, it was obviously recently completed. If he still had his sense of smell, he would probably be able to detect a strong smell of lime.

"Iron Slave, stay outside. If anyone approaches this house, kill them without mercy," the Ink Doctor issued a bloody order, evidently fearing any unexpected occurrences that could ruin his plans.

The stone door was easily pushed open, and he walked in without hesitation, casually closing the stone door behind him. It seemed that this house was not unfamiliar to the Ink Doctor. Nine times out of ten, he had built it himself.

The stone house was enclosed, with no windows. After closing the stone door, Han Li thought it would be pitch black inside, but instead, he saw various oil lamps and candles arranged inside. Despite the small area, the light was as bright as daylight.

The scene inside the house left Han Li speechless. Of course, he had questions, but he couldn't speak. However, none of this mattered. What worried Han Li the most was a strange pattern, about ten meters in diameter, painted in the center of the stone house. The pattern seemed to have been created with some kind of powder, and Han Li couldn't discern what it was exactly, as he couldn't get closer to examine it.

Around the edges of the pattern, there were several fist-sized pieces of jade embedded, which shone brightly in the candlelight, obviously rare items. If a connoisseur who loved playing with such items saw this, they would surely be distressed to see such precious jade being embedded in the stone floor, unable to sleep for several nights.

Han Li was numb. Today, he had experienced more strange things than he had in the past few years. At this moment, another voice suddenly appeared in the room, sounding quite young, around twenty years old.

"Humph! It worked before, but what's the use?" The Ink Doctor cursed, surprising Han Li. In the past, this wouldn't have been a big deal. But now, seeing the Ink Doctor's handsome appearance, swearing with a mouthful of profanity, made Han Li unable to help but find it amusing.

"If you intentionally set me up at the last moment, causing me to fall into a trap, who can I turn to?" Without waiting for the young man's reply, the Ink Doctor continued, "Don't say anything. You act as a guarantor. You should have been a dead man, and I was the one who killed you. Can you not have resentment? Are you not deceiving me in secret?"

The Ink Doctor's consecutive questioning left no room for the young man to respond, as if he wanted to vent all his uneasiness.

After that, there was silence in the room for a long time, except for the heavy breathing of the Ink Doctor.

After a while, the Ink Doctor suddenly spoke again.

"Is the method you mentioned really effective? You know, I've staked everything on this." His tone was extremely cold.

Han Li was somewhat puzzled. Was he talking to him? But the tone didn't sound like it! However, besides the two of them in the stone house, there was no one else. Had the Ink Doctor forgotten so quickly that he was still stuck with that damn yellow paper, unable to speak at all?

"There's absolutely no problem. Did the 'Seven Ghosts Devouring Soul Great Technique' and 'Mind-Locking Talisman' I passed on to you ever fail?" A strange male voice suddenly appeared in the room, sounding quite young, only in his twenties.

Han Li was dumbfounded. This young man was so ruthless, using so many close relatives to make oaths just to gain the trust of the Ink Doctor. It was clear that he was also a cold-hearted person. The slight goodwill he had felt due to their similar situations was instantly gone.

"That's right, I can't do anything to you. Your body has been destroyed, and only your soul remains here, unable to see the light of day. It's not necessarily stronger than being dead and gone." The Ink Doctor's tone softened, seemingly not wanting to tear apart their relationship
