When the old Taoist heard that Han Li was a cultivator from the Yellow Maple Valley, he didn't show much surprise. This was something he had already vaguely guessed, as there were very few Foundation Establishment cultivators outside of the seven sects. However, when he heard that the disciple he was about to accept and the steward might be connected to the demonic path, his face turned green.
It was well-known in the cultivation world of Yue Country that the demonic path was synonymous with bloodshed and cruelty. As a mere Qi Refining cultivator, the old Taoist naturally wanted to avoid any involvement.

I believe it should be enough to deal with most dangers for a Qi Refining cultivator," Han Li said calmly, pointing to the purple pearl on the table.
"An upper-grade magical treasure!" The old Taoist's spirits lifted upon hearing this.
