THIS IS PURELY A WORK OF FICTION!

——————————————

Parties were exactly where Y/N found herself most nights of the week, as that was where her friend group liked to hang out. Maybe she had fallen within the wrong group of stoners, party goers and reckless young adults; or maybe she was exactly like all of them and attracted her own. Either way, they were genuine friends, and so far none of them had started hardcore drugs. It was that particular night she showed up at God knows whose house, upon a party text from her friend B/N, who she was trying to locate.

Within the loud alcohol-fuelled atmosphere, she was unable to find her tall friend, but did manage to find Leon and Charlie. Sighing a little, she sat beside them on a faded red sofa. They were smoking blunts and playing on the xbox, so only spared her brief greetings.

"You seen B/N?"

Leon shook his head, "He told me he needed the toilet- half an hour ago."

"Well, he texted me about this party fifteen minutes ago."

He shrugged.

"Thanks for nothing, Lee," she said, standing up again.

"No problem."

Pushing through the large crowd in the living room again, Y/N decided to step outside to the garden half of the party. A minibar was set up on the patio, so she grabbed a beer and scanned the outside. Despite his extraordinary height, B/N was not an easy man to locate. She had tried texting him, but nothing had come in response.

Finally, she managed to spot a particularly tall individual near the edge of the yard, with their hood up and back to her. Maybe that was B/N? It couldn't hurt to check, so Y/N stepped down on to the dewy green grass and weaved between the dancers until she reached the guy. She tapped his arm gently, praying to God it was B/N just so she could stop the stupid search she was on.

Alas, it wasn't: the guy turned around and tilted his head downwards to look at her with a raised eyebrow. "Can I help you?" Oh, he had a nice voice and accent.

"Sorry, I'm looking for my friend, he's about your height." She apologised, turning around to continue looking amongst the pool of people.

"You're not gonna see him from down there, sweetheart."

She scowled at him, "Do you happen to know a B/N and by any chance his location?"

"As a matter of fact, I do. He's walking towards us."

Looking up in surprise, Y/N saw that B/N was indeed walking towards her.

"Y/N!" he beamed, the redness in his eyes showing his mental state, "You made it! What are- what are you doing with C/L/N?" He looked at the guy she had mistaken for him, a hint of concern seemed to take over his expression.

"What's it to you?"

"Alright, just- can we talk?"

Rolling her eyes, she nodded and waved to the C/L/N guy. "What is it?" she said with a gentle snap towards B/N, "Do you have any idea how long I've been looking for you?"

"Yeah, sorry-" he said, "-but be careful around C/L/N, he's kind of a dodgy guy."

"In what way?"

"It doesn't matter."
