part 2 is here :D

Y/N's school was hosting a charity event after classes finished that day; they had been spreading the news consistently for the past two weeks. That was also the amount of time it had been since Y/N ate and watched a movie at C/N's house, and they hadn't spoken since. Even so, Y/N found herself staring at him in class all the time, as well as blushing when he smiled at her in the corridors.

It was weird how one short evening could change her entire opinion on someone so drastically. She couldn't help but wonder if C/N would bring Coco to the event, finding herself secretly hoping he did.

Y/N was not disappointed. Arriving back at school around 5pm after going home to change, she saw the fluffy little chihuahua sat by C/N's feet as he engaged in conversation with his friends. She was a well trained dog, so didn't require a lead, although it was visible she was discreetly growling at the people her owner was talking to.

Taking a few steps further into the hall set up with tables and chairs, Y/N briefly looked around at the variety of animals. There were all the basics, like dogs, cats, hamsters, guinea pigs, etc. But there were also rarer pets like chinchillas and snakes. One boy even had a tarantula in a glass box, making Y/N shiver slightly.

Her steps were subconsciously leading her closer to C/N and his friends, and before she knew it she was twenty feet away and Coco had picked up on her scent. The chihuahua suddenly bolted from C/N's feet, making a beeline for Y/N. Coco began jumping excitedly at Y/N's feet, her tongue out as she panted happily.

Picking her up, Y/N looked forward to see C/N and a couple of his friends heading towards her. Confusion was etched on to the friends' faces, most likely at Coco's unusual reaction, but C/N merely smiled. "Hey, Y/N," he said.

"Hi," she replied, stroking the fur ball absent-mindedly, "Uh, sorry for making Coco run off..."

Now C/N's friends were even more confuddled, wondering how the fuck Y/N knew the dog's name.

Before anything more could be said, one of the members of staff stepped up on the stage and called the attention of the entire room. "Good evening, everybody," the man smiled, "I hope you are all enjoying meeting each other's pets. Thanks to the donations we have already made a substantial profit, and the event has hardly begun!"

Some people applauded.

"Don't forget to help yourselves to refreshments in the maths block, check out the activity agenda, and most importantly have fun!" he said, before stepping off the stage and disappearing back among the crowd.

"You don't seem like the type to get involved with charity," Y/N chuckled slightly, mildly flustered.

C/N scrunched up his nose, "My mum forced me to bring Coco, even though she hates almost everyone and everything."

The dog barked at the mention of her name, sitting up on Y/N's arms and attempting to lick the bottom of her chin.

"Though, she doesn't hate you..." he murmured quietly.

"Yeah, why is that?" Y/N asked, relieved to see C/N's friends were now having a conversation with someone else.

He shrugged, glancing at his distracted friends before saying, "D'you wanna get outta here?"

Y/N's eyes lit up, immediately overjoyed with the prospect of spending time alone with him. Well, and Coco.

"I'll take that as a yes," C/N chuckled, grabbing one of Y/N's hands and pulling her into the moving crowd. Coco was still supported by her other arm, and was now growling at everyone they passed.

Out the main doors, and down the corridor. Up to the next floor, and then through the roof-level fire escape. That was the short journey Coco and Y/N were led on, the latter blushing at the fact her hand was encased in the larger one of her new crush. He didn't let go when they reached the barred-off edge of the roof, either. They stood there in a peaceful silence, until Coco barked for attention.

A giggle escaped Y/N's mouth as she sat down cross-legged on the concrete surface, letting her hand slip out of C/N's, and beginning to play with the energetic animal. She began rubbing Coco's belly, the precious little chihuahua lying on her back with her tongue hanging out happily.

C/N watched from above for a brief second, admiring the sight before him. If there was one thing he was soft for, it was his dog; but maybe, just maybe, he was soft for Y/N too. He found her adorable and sweet, and quite frankly wanted nothing more than for her to follow him everywhere. It was admittedly a weird want, but there seemed like no better reality than one with Y/N constantly being around him with her quick wit and pretty smile.

He interrupted his own thoughts and sat down as well, joining Y/N in petting Coco's fluffy fur. Little did Y/N know that he wasn't admiring the dog's adorableness, but her own. C/N's eyes were fixed on the beauty before him.

Two weeks ago, he hadn't felt attracted towards anyone, let alone actually want to be in a relationship. His personality hadn't changed, which meant that he would have to follow one of his key traits: being straightforward and blunt. To summarise, C/N had to be frank about his feelings just like he always was, although he hadn't had to worry about romantic feelings before now.

"Y/N," he said gently, watching as she lifted her gorgeous eyes up from Coco to him, "I need to tell you something."

"What is it, C/N?" she laughed playfully, a sparkling joy in her eyes.

Taking a deep breath, C/N in the spur of the moment decided against verbal communication, and pressed his lips to hers. He felt her hesitate for a second, making him fear she would push him away, but she didn't. Y/N instead brought her hand up to his cheek and moved her lips slightly. He returned the movement for a few seconds, before parting and looking directly at her crimson-coloured cheeks.

It was understandable why she was blushing: her crush had just fucking kissed her. That was never something she had thought would happen, especially when her crush was renowned for being emotionless and cold.

A small whimper from beside the pair reminded them of Coco's presence, and together they laughed at the dramatic chihuahua before them. As they did so, Y/N felt C/N's hand slip into her own again, this time squeezing slightly as he smiled softly at her. She let her head fall on to his shoulder, admiring both the cute fur ball and the blue sky.

And, of course, her new boyfriend.
