Piya entered the building and sighed with a smile on her face.

It was very first day as the secretary to one of the most successful CEOs in the country. She was nervous and excited.

Her mother had made her have curd sugar as a good luck for her new day. And her father had given her a talk about how to keep herself safe from cunning people. She smiled thinking about her parents.

Her parents always said that she was very innocent. Yes she was innocent but she wasn't dumb. She knew how to read people's actions. The reason she was working in such a big organisation.

She got her the job herself. On her own capabilities and bagged it by competing against around 15 other candidates.

With a confident smile on her face she moved towards the reception amd greeted the woman sitting there.

She seemed to be in her 50s and replied with Piya's smile with a warm smile.

"Good morning! How may I help you ma'am?"

She asked formally and Piya introduced herself.

"Good morning! I am Piya Chaturvedi. I have been recruited as the new secretary to the CEO."

She said and showed the lady her offer letter and appointment letter.

The lady smiled and asked her to give her a second. Piya nodded and waited patiently.

The lady dialled a number and told her about Piya and then disconnected the call with an 'Ok sir'.

"You please wait there ma'am. Sir is sending someone to escort you to him."

Piya nodded and took her sit in the waiting area. 5 minutes later a man dressed in his formals came towards her with a warm smile and said.

"You must be Ms. Piya Chaturvedi. Good morning! I am Vinay Malhotra. I'll take you to sir and also inform you about what all you need to do while you're on the job."

Piya nodded and the man took her towards the elevator. He pressed the 14th floor button and turned to her.

"That's where your and Sir's cabin would be."

He said and she nodded in acknowledgement.

They reached the 14th floor in exact 2 minutes. Yes! She timed it. The lift was fast.

"This is going to be your cabin. And that in front of yours is Sir's cabin."

He showed her a small yet very classy cabin which she instantly fell in love with.

"These are the recent projects were are taking up. This is Sir's schedule for this week. Your job would be to take calls for him and tranfer only the very important ones to him. Take notes before a meeting to brief him and during the meeting for his reference. You are also going to accompany him on trips outside Delhi or India for that matter. Is that alright?"

Piya nodded. She knew this. And her parents supported her.

"Alright! If you don't have any doubt I'll take your leave. You can go and introduce yourself to Sir now. He'll ket you know what you aree required to do."

Piya nodded and the man turned away but Piya frowned and asked him.

"Umm? Am I not supposed to get his coffee or something?"

She has seen that in movies. The man turned and chuckled slightly.

"No you aren't. Secretaries don't do that. It is the job of the pantry boy."

Piya nodded slightly embarrassed and thanked the man again. She then set her things in the cabin quickly and then straightened her clothes.

She took a deep breath and said to herself.

"Ok Piya! You can do this. Here goes nothing!"

She mumbled and stepped out of her cabin towards the CEOs.

The board outside read. She again took a deep breath and knocked.

She heard a strong, masculine voice answer from inside.

"Come in."

The tone was gruff and cold. Giving herself another short pep talk she entered in and stood in front of his table with her hands at hand and a polite smile.

The man did not look up even once.

"Good morning Sir. I am Piya Chaturvedi. Your new secretary."

She introduced herself and at the moment he looked up and their eyes clashed. Honey browns to striking greys.

Piya felt nervous under his gaze. His face was expressionless and it seemed as if he was scrutinitsing her.

"Umm Sir?"

Abhishek came out of his trance and said.

Morning Ms. Chaturvedi."

He replied to her greeting which was a shocker to himself because he never did.

"I assume you are aware about what you are supposed to do here?"

"Yes Sir. Vinay Sir has briefed me about it."

Abhishek nodded and asked.

"You must be given my schedule for today. I want you to confirm everything that's on it and after exactly half an hour report to me about the same."

Piya nodded and left. She sat down on her desk and looked towards his cabin.

He wass the first person she wasn't able to understand. He had no expressions, no emotions whatsoever.

She sighed and started calling and confirming the meeting and other things on his schedule.

Abhishek stopped typing and looked towards the monitor which showed his secretary's office. He had installed a CCTV there because of a incident that happened in the past where one of his secretaries was assualted and he got to know it much later.

He realised that he had been looking at his new secretary a bit to long. She looked engrossed in her work. Calling people and then marking something in her diary.

Abhishek has never in his life experienced such strong attraction before. But the moment he saw her it seemed like something was sucked out of him. Oh yeah! Air out of his lungs.

After half an hour exactly she came in his cabin after taking permission and briefed him as asked.

Abhishek was thankful that she provided the notes she wrote because he did not hear a word of what she said.

God! He just met her and she was already making her crazy.
