Mishika stood in front of the mirror glancing at her reflection for the 100th time since morning.

Sayjng that she was nervous would be an understatement. She was freaking out.

This is not a date. You are meeting him as a friend. Relax!

She reminded herself for the 1000th time since the time he had messaged her.

Giving herself one last look and an affirmation nod she moved out taking her handbag.

She kissed her mother's cheek and joined hands in front of God. An unconscious habit she had formed over the years.

Telling her mother she was meeting a friend and informing her about her location she moved out of the house.

She didn't want any media to follow her so she put on a mask and took a rickshaw rather than taking her driver.

She reached the place she had messaged him and looked at the time in her phone.

Phew! She wasn't late.

Adhyay had reached half an hour earlier than they discussed. He was to damn nervous.

Someone would misunderstand that he was going to propose someone. God! Really! Why was he nervous?

He was jerking his leg in nervousness. He heard the door to the small cafe she had suggested open and saw a familiar figure walk in.

Strange how he recognised her even in that mask by the way her eyes crinkled spotting him.

She sat in front of him and removed her mask taking a deep breath.

"Gosh! It's too hot and sweaty today."

She commented and he smiled taking in her form. Even with her hair sticking to her neck with sweat she looked just as refreshing as if she had stepped freshly out of a shower.

Fuck! He did not have to think that. You don't want her to think of you as a pervert Adhyay! Stop it!

He cleared his throat and responded to her statement.

"It had to be. Everyone had to know ki Mishika Mehta had stepped out in open."

She looked at him open mouthed and then burst out laughing at his failed attempt of flirting.

He too laughed and that's how the conversation started. It was not until the attendant there asked them if they wanted to order, they realised that they had been talking since almost an hour without ordering food.

That's how natural conversation with him seemed. They again laughed and finally gave their orders.

The food was served and they realised that they were actually really famished. The two dug in immediately while continuing chatting.

"Why did you suggest this place though? This doesn't seem very famous. People here didn't know where it was."

"That's exactly why I chose this. Small, cozy and private. I used to come here with my best friend until she moved to the States and we lost contact. This place being a less popular and less crowded place was the best for a private, undisturbed conversation."

He smiled at her thoughtfulness. The fact that she chose this place because of this reason made something shift in his heart. She wanted to talk to him undisturbed. That meant something right? But what? Even he didn't know what he himself was wanted. How can he ask for her?

Mishika reached home and slumped on her bed with content sigh. She turned her face into her pillow and squealed loudly.

Why was she feeling like a teenager who just saw her crush walk past her?

She and Adhyay had just spent 4 hours together. They had talked. Just talked open hearted. No hesitations and no secrets. Just pure honesty.

She had always wished for something like this. A relationship based on honesty.

And that was the beginning. After that what followed was constant calls, messages, video calls, and lunch meetings.

Two months later was their shows' launch.

Mishika was getting ready. Her gaze moving constantly towards her phone as the makeup artists worked on her. Adhyay hadn't replied to her message yet.

She had asked him about the time he would reach the venue. She wanted to reach at the same time.

Her phone pinged and she moved with the speed of lightening to retrieve it making the artist give her an annoyed look. She threw an apologetic look and bit her lip looking at his message.

Be there by 9.

Typing a quick 'ok' she put the phone back and sat back relaxed. She had time.

She reached the venue and got out of her car. She looked around for Adhyay and smiled widely when she spotted him walking towards her.

She knew the paparazzi was watching them and clicking pictures but she didn't care. Not today. As he stopped near her she took a step forward and hugged him. It was side friendly hug.

"Nervous?"

He whispered and she nodded. Discretely rubbing her back he smiled at her.

"Go! Have your moment!"

He said and she chuckled walking in front of the photographers. She posed and then called Adhyay over. They got some pictures clicked together and then she patted his arm saying.

"Have your moment now."

He chuckled and she left him letting him enjoy the attention.

The event was a success. She wasn't unaware how there was a rumour that started about her and Adhyay and how people commented that she had more chemistry with him then her co-star.

Everyone was leaving. Mishika too was about to leave and was just bidding a bye to everyone when Adhyay called her. She picked the call and he asked her to come outside through the backside.

She frowned but complied nonetheless.

"Hey!"

He looked nervous. His hands in his pant pockets and a contemplating expression on his face. He seemed to be debating something but finally decided to say it.

"You came here by car?"

She nodded and he took a deep breath.

"Is it-I mean can you-like-I want to take you somewhere. If you're ok."

He added the last line quickly and she frowned more.
