Randhir was having his breakfast along with his parents.

Theirs is a very wealthy family. Randhir had taken over the family business 6 years back and since then the multi-millionaire company has become a multi-billionaire company.

Being the only child of such lavishly rich parents people expected him to be spoilt and rude but Randhir was the most humble and down to earth businessman you could meet.

"Randhir aaj jaldi ghar aa jaaio."

His mother said on the breakfast table and Randhir looked at him pretending to he clueless.

"Kyu? Kuch hai kya aaj?"

He asked taking another bite from his parantha.

His mother glared at him and he grinned.

"Ek na keench kr maarungi mai. Naatak kam kr."

He knew why? It was her birthday. And he loved to tease her. He chuckled and she gave him a dramatic side eye.

"Arre mujhe bhi toh batao. Kya hai?"

His father asked and Randhir knew that he actually forgot the date. Her mother turned to him with narrowed eyes and asked in a sweet voice.

"Kya date hai aaj Naresh?"

The man now looked nervously between his wife who was dangerously glaring at her and his son who was enjoying the drama.

"Umm-5th May?"

She smiled extra sweet and now he knew he had forgotten something. Shit! Was it their anniversary? No. Then what- oh shit!

Realisation struck his eyes and she now looked ready to attack him.

He immediately took action for the damage control and planted a soft kiss on her cheek making her go red. Not from anger. From shyness and blushing.

He sighed internally and Randhir praised his father from his eyes.

'Well done papa!'

He motioned something back as if saying.

'Learn from it. Kaam aayega tere.'

The father-son duo chuckled and Randhir got up kissing her cheek.

"Happy Birthday maa. I love you."

He said and she patted his back hugging him.

"I'll be back by 5."

He said and strated off to the office.

He had just one important meeting which he finished by 3 and then went to get her mother her birthday gift.

She wasn't a fan of expensive stuff. But she loved sarees. So he went to the nearby mall and entered a saree shop.

It took him an hour to select a good saree for her. He just hoped she likes it.

He had just stepped out of the shop when someone barged into him.

He had almost lost his balance. The person who slammed into him got stuck with her own foot and was about to fall.

Randhir held her arm and pulled her back to prevent her from falling and saw her face. She was close. So close. And he wad gone. So gone.

Randhir was transfixed. He didn't even realise when she muttered a sheepish sorry and ran away or how he followed her and watched her sit and leave in a car.

He only came to his senses once she was out of sight and he realised that he was already in the parking.

He didn't know who she was. But she felt like a cool breeze of air to him. It was as if his soul had been waiting for her.

The moment he pulled her close and their eyes clashed he felt alive. As if a fire was suddenly ignited inside him.

Randhir didn't know how he drove home because the only thing in his mind was the girl. He didn't even know who she was. Or what her name was? She could be married for God's sake but why was he thinking about someone he had momentarily met.

Not even talked but met. She might not even remember him the next day or even the next hour and here he was thinking about her.

He shook it off as a momentary thing and decided to enjoy his mother's birthday.

Only if he knew it was not momentary. It was much more than a moment. It was supposed to be forever...

When even after a week Randhir couldn't get the mystery girl out of his mind he knew he had officially lost it.

And why not? It was literally two seconds and he was not able to get her off his mind.

And if this wasn't enough his mother had given him a whole freaking file filled with girl's pictures and biodatas so that he can select one for himself.

Like hell! Here he was unable to see anything else except for that girl and his mother wanted him to marry someone else.

But he couldn't tell her he had lost his heart to someone he saw for 10 minutes and followed like a puppy. She could definitely think he had lost his mind.

He didn't know how to find her. He didn't know what to do to get her off his mind. He didn't even know if it was right of him to think about her literally 24/7.

What if she was happily married and was living with her husband and a kid. No! He didn't want to imagine that.

See! He's officially lost it. He felt possessive over someone who he didn't even know.

Randhir knew it was futile to go through the file but he still did. For his mother's satisfaction. He could say he didn't like any of the girls.

Maybe she would stop for a while. He went through the pictures with a bored expression when he heard a knock on his door.

It was his secretary. He had just informed Randhir about a meeting with a client which was supposedly in a cafe.

Randhir got up and they drove to the cafe where the meeting was supposed to take place.

Judging by his face anyone could say that he wanted to be anyplace else than here.

He was thinking about leaving when his eyes fell on a familiar figure and he sat up straight.
