Rishav looked up at her and stood up in a second. He looked at her as if drinking her form in. She was away for just one night and he missed her so much.

How much would she have missed him for he was never there. He felt guilty and ashamed.

"Tumhe wapas le jaane aaya hu. Tumhare ghar."

He said emphasising on the word. She looked away from him and opened her door.

She entered in and kept her stuff on the sofa and he followed her inside.

"You're wasting your time Rishav. Mai wapas nhi aa rhi. Anyway it's not my home. Its yours. And waise bhi kuch mahino ki aur baat hai phir aapko iss unwanted burden ko nhi jhelna padega. I'll send you a divorce notice-*

"Sneha!"

Rishav yelled appalled. Divorce? He couldn't even live one night without her and she wanted to div-

"Don't do this yaar please. I know I have hurt you a lot. I accept it and I want to correct it. But please don't do this. Aise punish mat kro mujhe Sneha. Nhi reh skta mai tere bina yaar. And about it being my home. Its ours. I may have given money to build the house but it was you who made it a home with your love and care. Toh mujhse jyada tumhara haq hai uss ghar pr."

He said and Sneha looked at him with her eyes glassy. She wouldn't lie that his words didn't affect her. Ofcourse they did.

She loved him. She had always did. It was he who did not care about her. And his sudden display of feelings made her uncertain.

Maybe he just wanted her back to satisfy his ego to have his wife living with him. She didn't want to give in. Atleast not so easily.

She looked away holding the back of the sofa and kept quite. She knew she would burst into tears if she said anything.

Rishav smiled sadly and said.

"Punish me with your silence. But I am not letting you go. I have realised my mistake and I am going to correct it. Tumhe mujhe jitna test krna hai krlo. I am not giving up on you. On us."

He said and left after giving a small kiss on her head. As soon as she heard the door being shut she felt all her energy being drained and fell down crying.

She had stilled her heart with so much difficulty. Just thinking about divorce made her heart tear into pieces. Why did he have to give her hope? She didn't want to be hurt again.

The next day too was a shocker for Sneha for just as she had sat down for breakfast her doorbell rang making her frown at the unexpected visit.

She opened the door to a grinning Rishav who for a change was dressed in casuals.

Getting over the initial shock she displayed a hard expression and asked folding her arms in front of her chest.

"Kya chahiye aapko?"

She asked and his eyes momentarily dropped to where her arms rested. The movement had uplifted her breasts. Rishav had always acknowledged the beauty of his wife.

She noticed his gaze and dropped her hands in anger.

"Eyes up here!"

He looked at her like a deer caught in headlights.

"Haan? Haan! Sorry!"

He mumbled sheepishly rubbing his neck.

"What are you doing here?"

She repeated her question and he shrugged.

"My wife always said mai uske din ki ek bhi meal nhi leta. So here I am. To have breakfast with my wife."

He grinned and she rolled her eyes moving inside. He grinned wider and closed the door behind him.

"Suit yourself. Maina apna breakfast bana lia. You can have whatever you find."

She said shrugging. He was happy that she atleast didn't kick him out. He quickly fetched himself some toasts and juice. The only option he could manage before she finishes her breakfast.

She mentally grimaced at his choice. She knew he liked a heavy breakfast. Not letting her worry get over her she continued eating.

"I will make you eat mere haath ka khaana some day. You don't know what masterchef your husband is."

He said self praising and trying to strike a conversation. She shrugged and said.

"Too bad that day will not come. Kyunki chaar mahine baad tak toh you will not be my husband. Haan. Apni nayi biwi ko khila dena."

She said smiling too sweetly and his smile fell.

"You are my only wife and it is going to remain that day. I am not divorcing you Sneha. I said it yesterday. Punish me with your silence but I am not divorcing you."

She didn't show how his statement affected her.

Over a month had passed since Rishav had started coming to her apartment on every Monday, Wednesday and Friday. Sneha thought he would get tired and stop after some time but he did not.

Rishav knew it was only her who had been giving efforts in the marriage till now. And if he wanted to save his marriage he had to give his efforts too. For marriage is a 50-50 partnership. Either both or none.

Sneha came out of the washroom and started the timer. She sat on the bed bouncing her leg with worry. What if it is what she thinks it is? How is she going to tell Rishav? Given their current situation.

The timer went off and her hands went cold. She didn't have the course to see the results. But she had to. She took a deep breath and slowly went inside the washroom.

There it was. On the wash basin. She took deep breaths and walked towards it. She tried to peek in to see the results but could not.

Finally closing her eyes and gaining courage she picked up the stick. The stick which had the results that could change her entire life.
