Aarushi's POV

I look at him wide eyed.

I got up abruptly and looked at him. He stood in front of me.

"Huh!?"

Did I hear that right?

My eyes widen even more when his arms snake around my waist and he leans near my ear.

"I love you."

I close my eyes as he brushes his cheeks with mine and kisses my cheeks softly.

The next second I open my eyes and he is standing in front of me. His hands in his pockets and looking at me with a raised eyebrow.

Did I dream all this?

"Kya hua?"

He asked and I realise that I was actually dreaming. I bit my lip and shook my head looking away.

When I look back I see him shaking in silent laughter.

"What!?"

I ask him confused and he burst out laughing.

"God! You are so cute!"

He said pinching my cheeks and I pout rubbint them. He then cups my face and says.

"It was not a dream. I love you Aarushi!"

Blank! Numb! Frozen!

These were my reactions. I continue to look at him.  I think I am going crazy.

"Hosh mai aaiye doctor sahiba. You look like you are about to faint."

He said with a soft smile. His hands still cupping my face.

"I think I might."

I mumbled and he chuckled kissing my head.

"Why are you so adorable!"

He hugged me. HE FREAKING HUGGED ME! I might just die right here.

Slowly I started relaxing against him. My hands moved up to hug him and rested my face against his chest.

He sighed in content and hugged me tighter. We stayed in that embrace for some time.

"Aarushi?"

I hummed and he said.

"Ab toh keh do. Please!"

I smiled knowing what he was asking for. I looked at him and gave him a wide grin.

"I love you!"

He sighed happily and rested his forehead on mine.

"So? Will you? Marry me?"

He asked after some time and I smiled mischievously.

"Hmm! I'll think about it. Aur waise bhi we don't know each other itne achhe se."

I said shrugging casually and he frowned cutely.

"So? We know each other enough to fall in love. I love you, your nature, your personality, your smile, your eyes. Everything. We have a lifetime to know about each other. Aur waise bhi sab shaadi se pehle hi jaan lenge toh shaadi ke baad life boring ho jaayegi na."

He said and nuzzled his nose with mine.

"Hmm. Phir bhi."

I said to tease him and he smirked naughtily.

"Ok. But jaldi btana otherwise I'll have to find another wife and mother for me and Yudhvan. Can't leave him alone now can I?"

He teased me in return knowing very well that he was my weak spot. I gasped and hit his chest.

"Blackmail kr rhe hai?"

He shrugged and said.

"Jaisa tum socho!"

I hit his arm and he laughed hugging me tightly resting his forehead on mine.

We looked into each other's eyes and his eyes darted down to my lips. My eyes followed his action and he slowly whispered.

"May I?"

Knowing what he was asking I closed my eyes giving him silent permission.

Rishi's POV

I took her lips between mine and kissed her slowly. She clutched my shirt at my waist and I tilted her head for better access.

I don't know for how long we kissed but when we pulled back we had a smile on our faces.

"I have decided. I'll marry you."

She whispered and I kissed her again showing my gratitude.

She said she didn't want to hide anything from her father do we decided to tell our families since we wanted to get married at the earliest.

It has been almost two weeks since our confession and our wedding dates were being decided.

Last week her father called me saying he wanted to meet me. Aarushi was on duty so we were alone.

We sat in silence for some time until he spoke.

"Aaru ne bataya mujhe. Ki wo aapko pasand krti hai. Aur shaadi krna chahti hai."

He started and sighed.

"Bhut din socha maine. Shuru mai thoda selfish ho gaya tha. Uski maa ke jaane ke baad wo hi mera sab kuch hai. Aaru ne kabhi bhi apni maa ko nhi dekha. Wo hamesha kehti hai ki papa aap hi mere mummy papa ho. Bhut koshish ki maine ki mai usse kabhi uski maa ki kami mehsoos na hone du par mai puri tarah ye kabhi nhi kr paaya. Kahi na kahi usse wo kami mehsoos hui hogi. Aaj bhi yaad hai mujhe ki jab school mai Mother's day ka card banwate the wo bada excited hokar mujhe laa kr de deti thi. Aur pyaar se gale lagkr kehti thi Happy Mother's Day papa. Isliye mujhe aisa laga ki itne naazo se jis bachi ko maine pala ek din achanak se koi aata hai aur kehta hai ki wo usse mujhse dur le jaayega. Bhut gussa aaya."

He said and then took a deep breath and spoke again.

"Lekin phir maine socha. Although Parul mere saath sirf kuch hi saal thi lekin jo time maine uske saath bitaya hai wo mai puri zindagi nhi bhul skta. Those were the best years of my life. She had taught me so much. Aur phir mujhe realise hua ki apni selfishness ke chalte mai apni bachi ko wo time experience krne se kaise rok skta hu."

He then looked at me and said.

"I give you both my blessing. Usse hamesha khush rakhna beta. Aur dhyan rakhna ki agar kabhi usse tumhari wajah se dukh hua ya takleef hui toh uska baap abhi zinda hai."

He said warning me and I smiled sincerely.

"I promise uncle. Mai usse khud se bhi jyada pyaar aur izzat dunga aur uski protection krni padi toh khud se bhi karunga."

I promised sincerely.
