Chapter 178 - Back Home

Chapter Cover: Eve and Natsu seating side by side as the dragon slayer had a tattoo of Fairy Tail upon his guitar.

Green lands extended in all direction as breeze of the warm summer air danced the few trees around. The clouds were moving quite quickly in the sky above us, an endless sea of blue mirroring the green lands that was beneath it.

It had been a few hours since we left Crocus and since we were starting to get a little hungry, Lucy had voiced that we should stop somewhere so that we could eat. Erza had been quite happy that she had placed a picnic blanket so that we could get to eat and I couldn't help but smile at how excitable that she was. Natsu didn't seem that he was going to start eating for he had taken refuge upon a nearby boulder and was lying down upon it, groaning.

I couldn't help but pity him as he was probably feeling the blunt side of his motion sickness thanks to the long hours we had spend inside the carriage. I had taken a seat beside Wendy and Lucy the two girls have started to work upon a flower collars.

"Aw man," he groaned, "My guts are still tingling."

"So you're not going to be eating with us?" I asked him giving the young man a glance.

"Would you stop being such a baby," Gray said sighing where he was seating with his open shirt and pants.

"I can't…," Natsu groaned, "All that bumping and jumping just don't agree with my belly."

I smirked lightly before lying down upon the grass staring at the empty sky above us. It was quite pretty sight and just by staring up at the clear sky was staring to make me feel a little sleepy and I couldn't help but yawn lightly.

"All that is not going to be good for you huh?" Happy said turning his gaze toward his friend.

"We'll be home before you know it Natsu," Lucy said giving the dragon slayer a sideway glance toward where he was lying down.

Wendy smiled, "I'm starting to feel better. I'd probably have some magic power back in a few hours."

"Great," Natsu said, "Could you hit me up later with that spell of yours?"

"Sure," Wendy smiled, "Hey Eve, this is for you."

She extended one of the flower chains she was wearing toward me with a light smile upon her face. I seated up from where I was lying down and took hold of them. They were a bunch of white five petals flowers that were joined together.

"That is nice," I told her with a smile, "Where did you learn how to do that?"

"I have been doing them since before I joined with Fairy Tail," Wendy smiled, "They're quite simple to do."

She placed the flower crown upon my head giving me a small smile.

"There you go," she smiled.

"Thanks Wendy," I said, returning the smile.

"It does look pretty on you," Carla said staring at me, "Say Eve… when exactly did you get this tattoo over your eye? I don't remember it being there before."

"It's a little souvenir from Crocus," I said, gently tracing the small tattoo that was there over my left eye.

"It does look a little strange," Lucy said.

"Yeah…it does doesn't it," I smirked lightly.

There was a gentle blow on the wind and Happy addressed Natsu about what he was going to do when he get back to the Magnolia.

"I'm going to take some jobs," Natsu smirked, "And do something exciting that pays a lot."

"I just want to go fish and relax," Happy answered.
